Sorry to mither you Ed I’m a long term reader but not posted I’ve been a fan of Havertz for some time was just wondering do you see him signing for Chelsea?

I personally do there’s something in the air at Chelsea at the minute as if Romans ready to do a 2005 transfer window again. To be honest there net spend is pretty good for a big club like Liverpool’s and they’ve needed a good clear out and proper way halothane acquisition’s for a few years.

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - He may well do. Chelsea are not spending any money that has not come through player sales as profit.}

Predictions:

Havertz to Chelsea after a week of negotiations in a £90m deal. Player signs 7 year £200k pw contract.

Grealish to United for £80m on deadline day after fruitless negotiations for Sancho all summer long. Player signs 4 year £250k pw contract.

Chelsea are really doing business very well think other fans forget they’ve got the Hazard and Morata money to spend after nearly two quiet years. They’ve also got money for Pasalic and got the likes of Bakayoko, Barkley, Batshuayi, Emerson or Alonso and possibly Jorginho leaving to raise funds which they should get close too 100m not to mention high wage earners in Willian and Pedro leaving.

Be a waste if they blast 50* million on Chilwell though very over rated for the price.

You’re now putting Chelsea on a pedestal on how to conduct transfers? They’ve had no strategy for years and wasted millions on average players.

People learn from mistakes we’ve done the same with transfers it’s about how you learn from them. They’ve gone from getting Ziyech and Werner for Lampard and backing the manager to the likes of Bakayoko and Drinkwater under Conte. Think Lampard knows the right type of players to go after.
