Today there are at least 8 sites (probably one original article with the rest daisy chaining) claiming we are 'in advanced talks' with Fulham for Swiss international Kevin Mbabu as a backup to DD and AWB.

He's apparently had only six games so far this season and underwhelmed at both Newcastle and Wolfsburg before his latest move.
Add to this the apparent interest in Spain's latest breakthrough defender, Ivan Fresneda of Valldolid for £30m and it shows just how bizarre the media becomes in the last fortnight of the window.

H e is 27, played a handful of games here and there -never played a game for Rangers after they signed him and makes Phil Jones look like Iron man in the injury record department. got to be a joke.

I actually quite rate mbabu and remember him playing very well against us whilst he was at Young Boys.
I am not basing my opinion solely on that game either.
He’s got pace and is quite aggressive, likes a tackle but will put crosses in too. Almost a blend of our current rb’s.

However, I do not consider him a step up vs our current rb’s so it does seem a strange one.
Could be like for like if AWB is heading somewhere.
