Yeah we're going to spend £70m and 250k a week on a 29 year old Ronaldo. Come on, if he ever rejoins, it's for free in 2015.

I wouldn't want him in the summer for the money that would have to be spent on him. I would much prefer any of Gotze, Ozil, Rodriguez, along with Fischer, Wanyama and Baines.

Saying that you wouldn't want the worlds belayer is stupidity. At the end of the day we are fans, if the club can afford to pay it then why should it bother us. You don't worry about the company you work for when they take on new staff in case they might be 'too expensive'.

How is it stupidity? spending that amount on one player when we could spend it on 3 or 4 players that would improve our first 11. Ozil, Gotze, Baines and Wanyama.

Fresh! He is the worlds 2nd best player. Clearly better than the rest but still clearly 2nd best IMO. It pains me to say it but that is the clear truth as I see it.

Fresh, we get you have man love for onaldo, but disagreeing with you does make someone stupid. He's a brilliant player, along with Messi head and shoulders above everybody else. But for the money he would cost, I think we could invest better and strengthen the team more. Doesn't make me stupid mate.

He's not second best at all, if you had the choice between Messi or Ronaldo coming to United, 99% of the time Ronaldo would be the chosen one.

Gotze and Reus would do just as well and better value if you were going to spend that kind of money.

On another note, Guys I have said this before and again watching the Porto game last night, I can't for the life of me understand all the hype and the price tag on Rodrigues. I will take Di-maria or Muniain any day of the week over him.

People say that we could buy Gotze, Eriksen and about ten other players for the same money. SAF would never buy more than maybe 3 or 4 first teamers. Realistically we could do well with just two and a couple of youngsters. As I have said before, Ronaldo for £60 million, Strootman for £15 million, Digne for £6 million and maybe one more.

If I had the choice I'd pick Ronaldo TBH. But that's only because of his power and EPL experience, he'd be better suited to us. Messi is the best player in the world though and has been consistently for a few years IMHO.
