I think it's obvious going by the comments of Mourinho before and after the tie, that he is desperate for the United job. He wanted to make a very good impression with the interview on MUTV, defending SAF on dropping Rooney and claiming the best team lost.

He's definitley the most qualified for the job, and probably the best option, but will he get it?

I think he will need to wait at least one more season for Fergie to retire. Maybe a year out for the great man.

No, not with SAF being a director.

Absolutely gutted about last night, personally I think if a madrid player makes that challenge its a yellow at most but that aside I think we played superbly and consequently we will only become stronger because of it just as we have from losing the title on goal difference

I'm not sure he is the best option tbh. Not if SAF is going to sit upstairs. There are some that say that Ferguson's presence will have a negative effect on the manager but IMO it is an ideal chance to bring in a manager who would otherwise lack the kind of experience needed for the job. Someone like Solskjaer maybe. If SAF IS going to be hanging around then we may aswell make use of him.

Not sure Jose will get the United job but I think he wants it.
Not really sure fergy has real plans to be a director either to be honest, but who knows

For any other manager yes ferguson sitting upstairs would have a negative effect but mourinho knows ferguson very well and would listen to him and it would be great taticaly

Jred, couldn't agree more, Jose definitely wants the United job. SAF said he is keen to become the director when he retires as manager like five days ago. Do you think he will retire altogether? Certainly possible.

Syd
I think his remark about becoming a director was a bit tongue in check to be honest,
He has said many times he will walk away and I think that's what he will do to be honest

9.) 06 Mar 2013
Jred, he has said he would walk away completely in the past, not too long ago actually. Do you think it's possible Pep was the target and he was willing to walk away with him in charge, now that he has chosen Bayern perhaps the next on the list may need a little help or guidance from SAF. After all Ed002 did say that fractions within OT wanted Pep to take over.
