If there was a possibility we could sign Jan Vertonghen from Spurs I believe we should jump at it - tough, arial threat and a natural leader at the back, not to mention a very good defender who likes to get stuck in.

The type of player we like to go for.

What you folks think?

There is a lot I like about him but the more I watch him the less I'm impressed.
I think he he does the hard things well and the easy things bad

Think he would be great and ad a Ferdinand like presence in the back four with Jones/Smalling/Evans could also cover at left back but what does everyone think about Vermelan all the traits of Vertongen and just as much experience

I think he would be a good signing and it's clear he wants out of spurs but they would only sell him to us for big money so I think it's unlikely

He can't even get into spurs back four half the time
