I am hoping that there is some joined up thinking by Moyes and the board this year with signings with a view to how Moyes wants the team to play formation wise next year.
For me I would like to see either a 4-1-2-1-2 or a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Prioritise 2 from 3 of Carvallho/Gudjagon/Kroos for the CM roles. Look at Lallana/Reus for the more advanced needs and in defense I would go for Shaw/Coleman/Garay.
It would add steel/skill/European experience as well as youth/pace.
Add in some of the loan players and improved understanding from those that remain as to what Moyes wants and we should be okay next year!

Carvalho yeah, Kroos no. We need to sign players who are taking the next step up in their careers rather than those looking to take a step back just for the extra wages, no matter how good they are.

Elbow55

Here you go judging a player without any evidence. Anything that comes to the media is fully proof.

If we don't qualify to the Europe, what do you think will be the main reason of any possible arrival of WORLD CLASS player that we're all crying for??

Money Talks and for Manchester United, next season will be mostly about money my friend, so get over it. We need Top players and I don't care if its for money or not as long as they give everything every week for this CLUB.

Toni Kroos is one of the best players in the world in the more advanced midfield position. He is improving season upon season and is still relatively young. For the branded 30-40m we could get 5-6 years from a truely great player.

Or we could spend a similar amount of money on Carvalho who is a lot younger, lacks experience, plays in a much weaker league, with very little european/international experience, and receives bad reviews about a number of aspects of his game. Yes he may be able to commit for 10 years but who is to say he would reach the level of a Toni Kroos?

BEfore anyone points it out I know it shouldn't be one or the other as they both play different positions but if our budget only allowed for one of them the Kroos would be the man everyday, and it would be extremely difficult to argue otherwise.

Elbow, you would take Carvalho before Kroos? have you ever watched either play? anyone who says we shouldn't be going for kroos, if there is a possibility he may become available, obviously hasn't seen much of him. The guy is class whether he thinks he should be on equal pay to others at Bayern or not matters not to us.

I think Moyes ideal vision for next season is a 4-2-3-1 with De Gea in goal, a back four of Coleman, Jones, Mangala and Shaw with the full backs providing width. Kroos alongside Gundogan or Carvalho in the middle, Rooney behind RVP with Mata and Kagawa / Januzaj as inside forwards. We could probably add some pace to that front four but if we started the season like that I would be a happy chappy.

Kroos is an excellent player and by far the better two prospects of the two. However the fact that he would leave Bayern and come to United at this present time says everything about his attitiude and i'm not sure we should be doing an ozil at this present time. Instead we should be buying young hungry potentially world class players and reaping the rewards in a few years time. If kroos comes and proves me wrong then great but i'd prefer players up for the fight and if he isn't fussed about fighting for his bayern future then his attitude would be no different during hard times at OT.

Elbow if Kroos know's just how good he is and doesn't think that Bayern appreciate him then how does that make him have a bad attitude? Maybe the idea of playing in a different league interests him too.

I honestly think he's the best candidate by far to fill the boots of Scholesy. In terms of playing style and level of talent.

Elbow if you were in your job for 5 years and 2 new guys ( Thiago and Gotze) came In on 2 and 3 times your salary you would be p*ssed, so is Kroos.

Kroos will be an absolute dream. I love watching him play. I watch carvalho a lot, and while he is showing great promise, the prise sporting are asking is massive, but he could be a wonderful player.
Whoever we get, my wish is to see us playing with players who are comfortable in possession and with incisive attacking players. For sometime now, we have not had the right personnel to retain the ball and especially in European and against the top teams.
Know I'm asking a lot, but that has to be our target.

10.) 03 Apr 2014
Look mate Kroos wants an improved contract as in better bonuses and maybe 10 not a hundred grand more

11.) 04 Apr 2014
I think Kroos will sign a new contract, yes he is a great player but didn't, t see much of him against United.
Personally I'd love to sign him and Carvalho

Carvalho looks to be done and he can be slowly introduced to first team football with Carrick playing in the defensive position of midfield when more experience is needed. I'd personally like to see Vidal as the other midfield player but would be more than happy with Kroos, Gundogan or Modric.
We need a pacey winger and Di Maria will be available at the right price. Him on one wing, Januzaj on the other, Mata behind Rooney who is clearly best when played as a striker and playing him there allows Mata to play in his preferred 10 position. Kagawa provides cover and other options for the 3 behind Rooney. Possibly time to move RVP on while we'd still get some money for him? We could use him to sweeten any deals for Vidal/Di Maria etc.
Coleman and Shaw would give us two of the best young full backs in the game. Garay would provide cover although I don't know if he's what we need as a first team player. We may need to spend big on a top class defender who can fill the gap for 2/3 years until Smalling and Jones can step up and become our first choice centre backs. Dante maybe? Mangala?
