Liverpool drawing, United winning, and a win for City tonight, would make this a very good week for us!

1.) 07 May 2014
Dude you think it, but you don't say it. You never say you enjoy a city victory, even if you do

2.) 07 May 2014
Mick I don't think it counts when it is a case of someone stopping the scousers winning the league and seeing them at horrible tw*t lifting the trophy :-)

3.) 07 May 2014
LOL no mate, you say what you mean and say what you feel. No peeing about. I'm talking to people who know what I mean! I won't be happy with City winning the league, but I'd be suicidal if the scousers did it!

4.) 07 May 2014
'that horrible tw*t', stupid auto correct.

5.) 07 May 2014
Brendan, I'd rather bang my head against the wall than wish City good luck out loud.

I just say I would accept whatever would come with Liverpool not winning the league, and leave it at that

6.) 07 May 2014
I suppose it is a generational thing. You young 'uns were brought up when Liverpool were winning things - and are basically jealous! For me Man City are (and always were) the enemy. Of the three I would want Liverpool to win it (however unlikely) certainly not that smug b***ard Mourinho!
Excited by the prospect of these youngsters.
Patrick.

7.) 07 May 2014
Patrick, you are very much the minority mate. Probably 10,000/1.

8.) 07 May 2014
Fair enough Mick :-)
Jealous of what Patrick?

Personally, I would rather Chelsea win it. I don't like Mourinho as a person, but he and Chelsea are the lesser of 3 hideous evils. My dad is a blue and he'll give me a lot of sh*t if City win the league, but I would take that over seeing Stevie Geeeeeeeeee lifting the PL trophy everytime S/S News comes on for the next year, and all the biased Liverpool pundits going on about it on every football programme I try to watch.

9.) 07 May 2014
Totally agree Sydney - that's because there aren't many of us old buggers left! I bet of all Red fans over 60 the ratio wouldn't be 10000 to 1!!!!!
Patrick

10.) 07 May 2014
Lol Patrick u are in a minority here mate! I dnt want that lot to win anything but relegation.
City I can just about deal with!

11.) 07 May 2014
Brendon- jealous of their success which wasn't there when I was young (Spurs, Villa Wolves were the teams then!) Hence me saying it is a generational thing. Christ I feel old!!
Patrick (aged 103)

12.) 07 May 2014
I'm with CTR. I can stomach City winning things, as long as we do too, but I cannot handle the scousers even winning the toss! Stevie falling over and "The Cannibal" crying his eyes out has made my season bearable.

13.) 07 May 2014
Anybody remember when Leeds were the enemy? Revie (Mourinho) and Bremner (Stevie G)? We used to detest the buggers!
Anyway, time for bed! Tara lads
Patrick

14.) 07 May 2014
Ha ha nice on Patrick :-)

I wouldn't say it was a jealousy thing though for me, I just despise them in general. I don't really have any recollections of them winning things as I was too young then to care, as long as United were playing and I had the kit to play in I didn't give a toss about winning or losing. The first trophies I remember anyone winning was Germany winning the 1990 World Cup in Italy and United winning the FA Cup also in 1990 with Lee Martin scoring in the replay.

15.) 07 May 2014
Guys if like me you lived next door to them, socialised with them and worked with them, I don't think you would be as quick to wish city win it :)

16.) 07 May 2014
First match I went to Brendon was Utd v Villa 1957. It was 1-1. Then they beat us in the FA Cup Final 2-1. However, we beat them in the Charity Shield 4-0! I think Tommy got a hat-trick. What a team those boys were!
Patrick

17.) 07 May 2014
Patrick/Syd

Make that 10,000/2!
Patrick I remember Revie, Bremner, Hunter, Storey, Harris, Smith et al but particularly remember Michael Doyle (God rest his soul) who I used to hate with a vengeance! But Colin Bell was one of the best footballers i've ever seen - much as I hate to say it!

18.) 07 May 2014
John - what really gets me about these City fans is that they act as if the last 40 years or so didn't exist.

19.) 07 May 2014
A D Red - Mick "Tommy" Doyle? Arrgh!!
Patrick

20.) 07 May 2014
They think winning 1 premier league and 2 cups eclipses the last 25 years of our trophy laden history.some of the comments they come out with on the manchester evening news website are the most bitter you have ever seen they are still living in a time warp lol
