Saw some stats this morning that we play more passes per chance than any other team and we play more passes backwards than any other team. I'm happy to be patient if as we are making progress but currently I'm bored senseless most games. If LVG believes what he said yesterday then I dear it won't change any time soon.

Think it's around 70% of our passes are backwards or sideways, bring back Cleverly, he'd fit right in.

He also talks about opponents luck, but fails to acknowledge how lucky we have been since he took over. GCU and I frequently talk about our chance conversion stats, we must score more from our shots on target than any other team. There has to be an element of luck in that, just imagine if we created more chances!

Does anybody know the stats on chance conversion? I bet we head the table.

I actually think we will lose today and I normally expect us to win every game. I think the "tired" card will be used and the pace of Palace will worry us. Our short play will be picked off I think today, we are "lucky" Cabaye and Souare may be missing.

I have no idea if we will win, it depends which team turns up. I wonder what Giggs thinks as he can't be happy with our current approach. I bet him and Scholes are having some interesting conversations.

AJH - Did you watch the Salford documentary on Thursday?

Giggs only featured briefly, but in my opinion he epitomised the problem at Utd at the moment, by the way he addressed (or didn't) clear issues at the club. He was so indecisive, reluctant to make changes that were totally necessary and just a bit of a nodding dog (and this was with Salford) . I can see why LVG doesn't mind him being his assistant as he lacks that umpf and would just be a dogs body. I am assuming a lot but I can read people pretty well, Giggs is massively out of his depth imo. I did like your idea about him coming on board, but having watched a few documentaries in recent days I feel Neville is the man if we go that way and Giggs needs to be a coach at most.

I appreciate you don't get the full picture with these things, but I now believe we see no real change to our play because Giggs actually doesn't dare speak up, or even know how to! It is LVG's Army!

I did watch it Beast, it was fascinating. I saw it differently though, Giggs appears to be a reflector whereas the Nevilles, to paraphrase Japp Stam are busy baskets. I also thought Gary talked a great deal, often without really saying a lot. SAF rates Giggs highly, LVG also appears to so he clearly has something about him.

Giggs would be a disaster I agree with beast he seems to lack something.

Yeah I found it really interesting. Great documentary.

I appreciate people that have worked with Giggs say good things.

It shows that people have their own personal friendships/interests to protect as we saw with Scholes talking about Rooney recently. But it's all food for thought, the Class of 92 documentaries have made me change my stance on Giggs taking over, when in theory it should have done the opposite.

Hopefully we have a good performance today so we can have something positive to talk about.

Just thinking about SAF and who he rated highly. Neville was his captain, not Giggs. That's all.

they only keep giggs on the bench so the staff and players know there wifes and girlfriends are not being seen to :)
