With the rumours Simeone is off to the Chelsea (I can't see it happening though), I'd put money on Jose replacing him there.

I think if we were getting Jose, or Giggs, he would already be here now. I'm convinced LVG is off, but think we are lining up someone currently employed and will move in the summer. Who that is I have no idea. Take your pick: Allegri, Conte, Poch, Koeman, Hughes, Simeone, Blanc who has just signed a new deal etc etc.

i think the club don't want to be seen to sack a manager mid season after sacking the last one after a few month.
i think we will see lvg leave in the summer in an amicable split with the new manager announced at the same time.
clean split and clean start for the new manager to get his feet under the table etc during the summer.

I agree with jred. He can step down on health grounds or whatever and both him an woody save fave without the axe coming out. I'm not a fan of Jose but there is too much smoke.

I'm not convinced the board want him. Half our fan base are not convinced we want him. Not sure what to think about it myself. I personally like Jose, and in many ways he's perfect for us. In many other ways, he really isn't. There's no one size fits all answer and but the benefits marginally outweigh the risks in appointing him.
