Ed001 be interested to get your opinion of rangnicks recent press conferences i remember you said he might not want to p off the people he's going to have to work with a week or so ago. Something seems to have changed since the new manager was appointed or do you think he's doing things publicly because he's not getting listened to privatley?

{Ed001's Note - I think it is a bit of both. Now the new man is appointed, he knows he no longer has to worry about being in charge next season, so he can upset the players. But also he wouldn't be saying it publicly if he was being listened to in private, so he is saying it where everyone can hear.}

Honestly from his comments i really don't think he cares what the majority of players currently at the club think.

As for the rest of it i agree i hope the fact they are stuck with him making these comments for 4 games will force them into listening he's said all the things most of us fans have seen over the last few years hopefully we act on what he says.

{Ed001's Note - I don't think it was so much the players as their agents if he had to deal with them.}

Im sure the club didn't help having players pop off for sponsorship obligations and some of these players being happier to do that kind of thing than train.

{Ed001's Note - that should never happen when the players have so much free time on their hands each day! That is crazy. They should be contracted to do a certain amount of those things each week, they certainly used to be.}

I don't know anything about the clubs workings but its certainly one of the complaints Van Gaal made, so I would not be surprised if it was still happening, it would also stack up with our recruitment being more for publicity than for actual football reasons.

{Ed001's Note - it is a stupid way to run a club.}

Agreed, why I'm so hoping that Arnold, Mourtagh, Fletcher and those above will listen to Rangnick he knows what he is doing whilst the rest don't they are overly reliant upon a one figure system, hence why Scholes, Neville, Ferdinand and other ex players seem so intent on a manager potentially sorting the issues (Rio and Gary seem to have caught on a little Scholes seems blissfully unaware) .

Also I'm very frustrated by everyone who says new manager clean sheet for these players, I really don't understand what the point in having a DOF and Technical director (who sits in on training and matches) is if this is the case? The new manager should have an opinion but these people should be able to explain why they aren't to be kept around? But I think Rangnick will help a lot with this potential issue.

{Ed001's Note - very good point about the DoF and technical director and players having clean sheets. They should be judged on their time with the club, regardless of who the manager is.}
