Hi eds. Iv visited your site for a long time now and only today signed up. Want to thank you for your insight and knowledge. Just wanted to ask its all well and good that we are signing mata and bolstering our attack and i'm over the moon about it, but why has everything gone quiet as far as coentrao and garay. We are in desperate need of new defenders as we look slow and out of sorts at the back. Surely we need a centre or a left back to really push for 4th

Could we please get garay in now so he can use this period and the summer to settle in to english footbl. I doubt a cm or lb will come in by the end of this window but there is a big possibility with garay.

My thoughts exactly. He can learn what he needs to from vidic and ferdinand while they are still here and they can help him settle in before he takes the reigns in defence

Ed002 sorry to bother you but if its not too much trouble could you tell me who garay is the more like for like replacement for in terms of playing style ferdinand (of old ) coming forward with ball at feet, and quick. Or vidic power house, domimant in the air etc. Not seen too much of benfica to kno enough about him.

Garay seems very calm on the ball so will help us play out from the back. But I hope he's good at set pieces because no1 apart from vidic looks like they can header a ball out of our box

I think coentrao would be the best option IMO because he is in the same boat as mata where he wants the game time with the world cup coming up. why doesn't moyes try to push the transfers through so its not as rough a time in the summer trying to replace nearly everyone and then having no team chemistry

Mbd, it's Filipe, but personally I would try for Coentrao on loan again. Then put all efforts into signing Vidal.

We didn't sign Garay because Moyes didn't rate him
