Last pre-season It looked like he had the chance to be one of the next wave coming through, even if as squad player. EtH has obviously not seen anything in him to allow him to leave, whether that is fit, ability or attitude.
Shame that another youngster has not transitioned but if not the quality then it is what it is.
Price and club he has gone to seems odd.

I was surprised Zidane didn't get more chances but maybe there is a bigger picture. I remember we were linked with Taylor Booth from utrecht I hope there is maybe a trade off there somehow.

Maybe they are allowing a lesser fee and if he is a success we may get a decent return in a few years time.

wrd - not a great fee granted but better than keeping a player, who won't get the minutes to shine and pay him wages only to either lose for free. Multiply it by the many, younguns we have and it all adds up. We are man utd football club and as harsh as it sounds we don't have charitable status.

What is the point in keeping him, it's clear that he isn't going to get any game time.
1 million EUROS for a player that has played 1 game for Manchester United is a decent amount.

Would a youngster in the same position at Real, Barcelona or City command more…. I think they would. Listen, I’m all for getting rid don’t get me wrong, but it does seem we are potentially taking pittance for players when other sides are always banging a bit on.

Zidane got a right earful from EtH in training a few weeks ago, seems like he had had enough and told United to get rid regardless of the fee. Manager's succeed or fail on these decisions.
