For all the tactics lovers out there. Would a midfield 3 of Carvalho, Fabregas and Rooney/Mata be up to the task? For me it would blend all the essentials together well.
Secondly, in the Japan National team Kagawa plays on the left of a front three and produces good performances, could this be where Van Gaal sees him playing next season, maybe being challenged by a young more explosive left winger?

Midfield would be ok for me.
On kags I agree he plays wide for japan played there for dourtmund several times and done well there.
and yet there seems to be a belief that he can only play 10 and that his poor form is because he is played out of position?

I think Carvalho and Fabregas would be a great window in midfield. We are quickly learning who seems realistic or not as targets. I hope these two still are.

I do know Phil, but in a WC year the business should be done early.
Jred, is it more we as of yet have not aimed for a style of play that highlights Kags' strength?
