Quite a lot of negativity on here but I,actually enjoyed the match. Darmian looks a steal already and Shaw now looks fit and healthy so 2 new full backs is a huge bonus and perhaps this is the year that assaulting delivers on his potential. Across the middle we are sorted, Schneid, Schwein, Carrick, Herrera all quality. Delay and Januzag have great potential but need to be consistent. not going to bash Wayne again, clearly he needs to find some form.

So we have the players but are currently lacking tempo. I think the system is ok, we just appear not to want to take risks. When we did pick the ace up we looked good, the move for the goal was great, just need more of them. I still say that some of the layers do not look match fit so as that comes, we may see a higher tempo. Memphis is yet to explode, Januzaj (if picked) needs to get into a groove, and Rooney needs to step up.

However, we are 2 games in, 6 points, no goals conceded. Arsenal lost last week, Chelsea and City play each other so 1 or both will drop points (a draw hopefully). I think Mata summed it up well last night. Winning gives you confidence, confidence makes you play better. I like this team, huge progress since DM left with a few key positions still to address. On paper we have games coming up we should win. Momentum is a powerful thing, let's hope we continue to build it.
