Will Mourinho keep Rooney as captain?

Reasons against:

1 May be over the hill
2 Held club to ransom
3 Poor orator
4 Poor example of a professional (never fulfilled potential, hasn't looked after his body/ diet)
5 Poor example morally (has had his name on the front pages for the wrong reasons)

Reasons for:

1 There is no better option

Was Zlatan captain at Inter under Jose? That would upset the apple cart.

Rooney will be captain next season.
Why? Because Jose knows more than ken.

See I love this site and read every day, but comments like this really frustrates me

1. He has a ridiculously low BMI, he can't help his frame or metabolism so don't judge his training/ professionalism

2. Since moving into midfield hasn't He put in a few man of the match performances? Not forgetting had it not been for his desire we wouldn't of won the cup.

3. If we are talking about papers and being in them for ghe wrong reason don't we have a certain assistant manager who we all know and love who has probably been in them for worse reasons?

4. Isn't he second in the all time premier league top goal scorer chart only behind Alan shearer. how is that not living up to potential?

Stop jumping on his back, he may be ageing which I'm sure he knows but for me is still a player I would always have in my team as no matter where you put him he will give you his all as he has proven time and time again. rant over.

{Ed007's Note - Poor orator! After scraping it for months we've now officially reached the bottom of the barrel in the 'Things to have a pop at Rooney for' stakes. What next, he offended bald people by getting a hair transplant?}

But he is keeping Herrera out the team .
And also kagawa had to move because of Rooney .

If we don't buy a player and just sold Rooney we would be a better team
.

Why do fans have an obsession with selling players that play for the team they support.

You look after your own?
Before games like fifa you supported your own . Now fans support players of other teams.

That's when football lost it's soul.

It's a moot point mourihno spent most of his career in england trying to sign Rooney he loves him also maybe people should look at the comments from his fellow professionals who unanimously agree he is the best English player about.
Everyone has there own opinion and mine is that Rooney is still one of our best players and I would be devastated if he went.

1.) were signing zlatan who is over the hill
2.) de gea held the club to ransom last summer
3.) poor orator, remind me again who was giving those team talks under van gaal when we put in stellar performances, spurs at home and city away.
4.) he's plays 15 years at the top level, he must be doing something right physically.
5.) we have ryan giggs at the club so we gave up on morals a long time ago.

Rooney will be going nowhere. Been one of our best players through his career and regardless of what he has done off the pitch he has done and won so much on it he deserves loyalty. John Terry is loved at Chelsea and he is hardly Mr Perfect. Ask Wayne Bridge.

Rooney still has a touch a genius about his play and probably has more spark in his game than any other player in our team bar Martial. Did you not see the lungs he bust to catch Zaha in the Final?

never get the Rooney bashing, i fear the lad won't be appreciated until he's gone.
