Good draw for us yesterday, but bloody hell was it a boring game to watch. Just defenders pumping the ball to strikers. The likes of Martial, Pogba, Herrera, Young, and Blind had a tough enough job trying to control the ball, let alone play actual football.

2 players i'll give special mentions to are Rojo, who looked very comfortable in a 3 and commanding, and Fellaini, who i though was out best player on the night.

Got very frustrated with Zlatan shooting all the time, especially volleys where he wasn't set-up body position-ally but went for it anyway. Then again, it was a fantastic assist for Mhicky so can't complain too much.

"Pumping the ball up to the strikers". I know, we should have been playing it along the grass? on that snooker table of a surface. Rostov don't do anything like that on their own pitch. Playing 3 at the back was just pure tinkering. Nothing to do with their 2 forwards and 1 playing behind.

Playing so direct was ugly to watch, even if it was pragmatic. But the result was alright in the end.

Good result IMO I think that probably Mourinho talk to the players and tell them not to go all out, to take it easy, because by the way that pitch was it´s a miracle no one got injured. it was boring to watch but in the end I take the draw.

I think supasub is spot on. It was a poor game due to a dreadful surface, if you wanted free flowing football then you were watching the wrong game. Get in, get a result, get out. Mission accomplished.

What don't I understand about the op? Zlatans shooting? I think the one he hit over the bar bobbled 3 or 4 times.
