Diogo Costa just made history.

I'd love him in our net as Nr 1, he is too player.

Can't disagree with this assessment.

I’m sure he’d be too short / injury prone / left-footed / right-footed / high wages / vegan (del as appropriate) for the over-analysts here.

He was our no1 target not so long ago as the Ed’s mentioned. Don’t know if that has changed. Would suit us well.

I think a change of keeper became less if a priority now eth is staying. Personally I think onana will cost us more points than he'll win us over a season. However he did improve a lot post the afcon imo and due to that and eth being backed I think onana has earnt another season.

Full backs are problem positions for us on both sides and we need a couple of cbs but hopefully we get a good no2 option that could come in if onana does have too many mad moments.

So many positions need addressing. Key for me is that new clubs are found for most of casimero, pellistri, mctom, awb, hannibal, vdb, lindelof, maguire, sancho, Greenwood. That's a long list and would require 6 in so highly doubtful that can be achieved in one window.

So who survives the chop will come down to so many factors. Paramount will be the financial impact any deal will have on the books. Good fees in for academy graduates that are not in the manager's plans will be very welcome and could cover big hits on the likes of casimero and sancho and possibly allow greater spending.
