I feel many on here forget about coaching. What good coaching and a better environment can bring out of a player. I love a new signing as much as the next guy but the above mentioned can make present players who have had an average time so far seems like new signings. I'm not saying Hoijlund is going to get 20 a season, but feel he will benefit from RA and his team of coaches. I also think there will be a few others that will hopefully feel like new signings due to RA. He has a good track record of developing and coaching young players. I'm genuinely looking forward and positive for next season under Ruben to see who else he can transform.

When we signed a 20 year old striker to lead the line we all knew he wasn't the finished article and that he would take years to develop into the player we need. Yet people still write him off after a promising first season, and a difficult second. Which is funny as that is exactly what Mainoo has had, yet no one is writing him off.

Lets be honest, there are clear deficiencies in his game, but there will always be deficiencies in the game of a 22 year old striker. Now it's all about whether he can work on them and reach his potential.

I have my doubts, but I wouldn't right him off just yet.
