Whilst I doubt he would be presented at the Chelsea game, I posted a few days ago, before the latest rumours, that I understood there was still an outside chance of Fabregas. I wouldn't put my house on it but the way it was handled was indeed different, different enough to pose a few thoughts that any deal may not be completely dead

Wishful thinking. Would love it to happen but he has said he is happy at Barcelona and cannot see him changing his mind. We will probably have all the Fabregas rumours again come next Summer.

Maybe i'm overly optimistic but something tells me this deal will happen, it just doesn't make any sense the way we have handled this "transfer" unless we have got some sort of encouragement from both fabregas and barca
