Can we all put this to rest until he actually opens his mouth or we do.


The guy hasn't said he wants to move - we haven't said he's for sale.

No one is saying anything one way or another.

Speculation causes nothing but grief.

At the risk of sounding Rafaesque - let's deal with facts only.

He had an of season (in comparison to earlier seasons)- Fact

Fergie claimed the boy has requested to leave - fergie said this so it's a fact (not that wayne actually made the request formally)


He's not said he wants to leave (this time round) - Fact

He's not said he wants to join Chelsea - Fact

He's not match fit - Fact (both moyes and hodgson are reported to have said this)


Lets just stop with the Rooney crap and wait for some actual statement for either Wayne or Us.

Well he's set to play against Scotland tonight whether he starts or comes on as a sub. Will be interesting to see if he plays the Swansea game for us if he plays tonight because then there will be no reason not to.

To be fair Monk.

He hasn't said he's happy and staying either. There is always three sides to every story, Rooneys, United's and the truth - what has went on the last couple of months no one outside will ever know, but you are saying he hasn't said he wants to leave - this is the biggest sports story this summer - if there is nothing to it why hasn't Rooney come out and say 'All this paper talk is completely rubbish, I am staying and happy at united'

Couldn't agree more.

Though chances are they could claim he aggrevated his shoulder if we don't play him.?.

Conspiracies will always exist but I will reserve judgement on Wayne until a formal statement of intent is made.

He's been good for us and he has taken a lot of flak for his last contract debarcle (which I still have reservations about it all being his doing - another conspiracy about fergie trying to get funding)

Lets just wait for some real information - not that we really have a choice.
