Out of curiosity, who would have people preferred this season, Rooney or Oezil? {Ed004's Note - Ozil}

Ozil without a shadow of a doubt.

He will be out to prove his worth at another big club and Rooney is stuck staying somewhere he really doesn't want to be.

Ozil.

Closest player to Scholes's playing style available.

Him and Fellaini would give us depth in the middle, plus I think Ozil struggled with the heat in Spain, he was substituted more than often and was played as a part of a attacking 3.

I think if he is utilized in cm he can dictate play from deep, much like his werder days.

Would be truly gutted if he goes to Arsenal. Be such a waste of talent

Can I have both? I'd choose Ozil which is why I'm gutted he will be at arsenal, I'm sure it will be ok right now what's hard is having no outlet for my frustration whilst utd are oblivious to the fans and their feelings. I keep thinking that when I go to the palace match ill get a t-shirt made saying 'Woodward couldn't sign a letter'

Simmo, so you would prefer a player who cannot keep his ass in shape, whines over wanting more money and doesn't want to be at the club unless he gets more money over Oezil?

Okay, that's your opinion, but don't moan that we haven't signed Oezil when we have Rooney here. The club was never going to spend the best part of £50m on Oezil when Rooney is here.

I know what your saying but why a club like ours can't afford ozil and keep rooney is beyond me him roo and kags behind rvp interchanging would be awesome! Shows we really lack ambition to have top class players in all areas. Plus when rooneys out we wouldn't have to see giggs behind rvp. Where a club. In desperate need of some quality

Red dev, what I mean mate is MU have Herrera, Fellaini and Baines as targets. Buying Oezil as well as keeping Rooney would mean spending £100m. It's not going to happen my friend.

To be honest it sums up how stupid the board's thinking is if we decide to pass up the chance to sign Ozil while he is looking for a move away if Rooney actually wants to leave Syd. They know they could ship Roo off either in January or next summer why not invest before we sell like Spurs have? Maybe Rooney genuinely wants to stay have you ever thought of that, unless it was the club trying to push him out which is a completely different matter.
