With the departure of ADM all but finalised by a medical, does anyone else think we are just waiting for this to be completed before announcing something big? I can't help but think, with the biggest shirt sponsorship deal in sporting history being launched this week we are a little quiet. I personally think in true MU form (keeping us in the dark until the last minute) Woodward is up to something and by this time next week we will all be blown away.

Anyone else share my optimism?

It will be nothing to do with the shirt sponsorship!! Did you not notice 'Adidas Day' passed without us signing Messi and Ronaldo?

GDS2 - I think you have missed my point. I just find it a little strange how we have launched the new kit without a big shiny marque signing to stick on the back of it (yet) hence why I am optimistic its because we want to be sure ADM is 100% gone before we announce something. I never mentioned anything about Ronnie or the hobbit, I just think there is something (someone) we will all be very excited about before the end of this window.

I hope you're right Chappers - but with the news this morning of the Dutchmeister putting Jesse Lingard up for sale I am slowly, slowly beginning to lose faith in what's going on at OT.
Yep. they do keep us in the dark until the last minute, and then pitch up with Nobottle de Marias and Falcaos.
So far so good this year, but why no big, nasty fearless CB who would scare the EPL sh.ess every weekend?

Strange times.

notimetoulouse (great name by the way),

The question was asked on here a few days ago and a few weeks ago about Lingard and the opinion was split, it is fair to say that he is never going to be a regular at United isn't it? He will probably be a decent squad player at best but you would never want him playing against a top side, if we sign Pedro he would be 3rd or 4th choice right sided player behind Mata, Pedro and probably Pereira, so his game time would be extremely limited.

I would like him to stay as a utility player but for his career it might be best if he moves, not sure selling a squad player at best would make me lose any faith in what is going on, why does it cause you so much loss of faith?

notimetoulouse - Me too pal, I will keep my optimism until the window closes or until LVG says otherwise.
If the rumours are true I also find that strange and disappointing about Jesse, he always seems to do well when played in the 1st team, I have always considered him one of the brighter talents coming through, I hope the rumours are not true.
