Gary Neville comes across as so intelligent and articulate. It might just be me but Ryan Giggs really doesn't. Legend as a player but maybe not the best manager material? I'd rather have Gary any day. What do other people think? I read the posts every day by the way but have only posted a couple of times over the years.

Would love to see Neville back at the club in some sort of coaching role, seems to be very knowledgeable on the game.

I would have Neville over Giggs every time, its a no brainer for me.
Neville will be the manager one day and I'm pretty certain he will be fantastic at the job.

In fairness to Giggs he is No2 at United and will be extremely aware everything he does or says on this programme will be scrutinised and may have been schooled to be as middle ground as possible. He would not for example want to be out there seen as saying sack the (Salford) manager because the team are not successful, not playing good football for example. Still my view has not changed and Giggs must not be Uniteds next manager.

I would be far happier with Gary Neville as Uniteds number two.

If we harbour any ambitions of getting back to the top, then Peppers has to be the next manager. And I would like to see GN as no2. Also, about time Scholes was brought in too.

I agree Pep should be our No1 target and would prefer Neville as his No2 however think Scholes has not done himself any favours with his criticisms from outside the club, regardless of who the next manager will be. It feels a bit like rent a quote at the moment.

Why do you say that, scholes said what everyone else sees and as a football pundit, he has give a view.

Neville destroyed LVG's with his comments after the Arsenal game, calling him Naive and tactically a disaster and a few other choice words.

Everyone reads too much into this stuff and not sure why people think Neville is more qualified that Giggs. Neville is an assistant coach of a national team that comes together every 2 months for 10 days, where giggs is getting experience of running a Pl team every day.

{Ed001's Note - you are also forgetting that Neville is being fed all his 'insights' by a huge staff of producers etc. It is not like this is all him coming up with it all, he is getting it handed to him to use as well. So how do people know which is him and which is the producers?}

I think the club has enough critics without one of its own being so brutal. There is reason to critique the team and LVG but for me Scholes has consistently gone over the top.

Neville was right during the first half when commentating live about the Arsenal game and afterwards said what many of us said on here. I wonder if Giggs had a hand in, commented on those tactics as he sat motionously on the bench next to the manager, whilst Nev was dissecting the tactics live in the first half?
