Realistically why would any player leave Madrid or Barcelona unless they were no longer wanted? Great clubs, good money and league, amazing cities, great weather etc.

I get your point Eric but I do believe beside all that the premier league is a massive pull. Yes weather is crap and maybe quality of living is not as good, but the league is exciting as watched worldwide and many of the top managers are currently managing in it. I’m not saying it’s the best league in the world because it is not. But it is the most exciting and most watched league. And with it being so lucrative, players coming here will get a packet and a half for wages. I don’t think there is any chance of getting Alba but I do think the premier league is a massive pull. Players will choose pep, Jose, Klopp over the likes of Bayern and PSG because their leagues are dead. But I agree taking players from the bigger Spanish two is a big ask.

Ed a friend of mine told me that United are showing interest in Marco Asensio, do you know if there is any truth to this?

Others included PSG and Manchester United who made tentative enquiries but were told the players was not interested in them - so it ended there. Interersted sides have been told he is not for sale and Real Madrid are unwilling to have discussions with clubs about the player although they could yet be tested by Barcelona looking to pay his release clause - in which case it would be down to the player to decide if he would be open to a move to Barcelona.}

The one positive is i'm happy with the defence for the first time in a long time. But I can't help but be disappointed that we've missed out on Fernandes. He was there for the taking but clueless idiots in charge couldn't get it done. Roll on sunday and get behind the lads!

Last seasons squad was 6 players short of a good side. Ole and Woodward have brought in 2. A pogba injury and we have no creativity whatsoever, ole is now desperately relying on no injuries, Sanchez to get back to his arsenal days and greenwood to be our main goal scorer as martial and rags are not and never will be too CF.

Herrera or Fellaini?
Don't forgot that they are both really nice genuine type of guys :)
Personally I think Fellaini is more beneficial to the squad.

A good squad player IMO but we can always let him go and spend anything up to £30 million on another squad player. No? Yes? Maybe TFM will be ready to take over Wigs spot in a years time, maybe if we got rid of the wig the new MID squad player might stunt TFM's progress.

I don't get this love in for Anders, he was too rash in the tackle often picking up unnecessary cards, he fell over most of the time looking for free kicks, he ran around a lot not really doing much but looked busy but he was a lovely guy though and so down too earth :)

When Martial first came the expectations for him were high, I thought he was going to be a Man Utd legend.
Unfortunately:
He seems to be operating in stand mode most of the time. He's parked his head and forgot where he left it.
He's like a man on a mission but can't find the instructions.
His mind wanders and doesn't come back.
His reaction time (at times) is longer than his attention span.
he looks lazy, uninterested and uninspiring, says a lot to me.

If Martial gets injured it might just be a blessing in disguise, he lacks everything you need to be a top player. he's amazing 1 game then mediocre the next 5.
I would much rather play Greenwood who actually knows where the back of the net is.
