I know we didn't get any midfielders.
But.

We sold James to Leeds.
And by getting rid of him, it Improves us drastically.

I don't agree with the view or the sentiment. Dan was a really good kid and very popular, has talent and was making some progress in his decision making. He's barely 23 let's see if you think the same in 2 or 3 years. He could kick on when playing every week, never likely at a club like Utd. He was 100% committed and a joy to work with, great engine, great attitude and a good bloke. You may be unaware but he lost his father very shortly after joining us, now he leaves at 23, last kid in that position for us didn't do too bad for himself I believe.

Magicsy, how does selling him improve us?

If anything there is a lot more chance that James is going to improve with regular game time and better coaches around.

At least he is going to be better utilized by a manager who knows how to get the best out of someone.

Because ole doesn't play him, to keep teams interested into buying him. and we keep the ball in wide areas with a degree of success, without James, the rabbit in head lights running down blind alleys.
If he becomes good at another club then so be it.
I'm not interested in he might be.
He has had the game tim, coaching yet he is our worst player.
