Totally unrelated to Manchester United and even football but as being a key member of my favourite TV show I have to post about the great man that is Roger Lloyd Pack who played Trigger in Only Fools and Horses who sadly died of cancer today. A true comedic great, rest in peace.

Here here Trigger is, by far, my favourite comedy character of all time. His brilliance will be greatly missed. He can rest in peace knowing how much joy he brought to so many people during his lifetime.

Yes I've checked on my birth certificate and everything, it's definitely Rodney.

So what's Dave, a nickname, like?

Cracks me up every time, he will be missed.

Ahhhhh fresh you beat me to it. I'm 20 and I've seen every episode and I must say only fools and horses would have been far different without him. RIP

Comedy never got better than only fools and horses and a fair bit of that was down to old trig. Great actor.

Rodney: "So what exactly is the award for?"

Trig: "For saving the Council money. I happened to mention to her one day that I've had the same broom for 20 years She was very impressed and said, 'Have a medal'." [Pause] "20 years; that's a long time, Dave."

Rodney: "Yeah. Well it's two decades, innit?"

Trig: "I wouldn't go that far. But it's a long time."

Later . he proudly shows them his broom.

Trig: "I've maintained it for 20 years. This old broom has had 17 new heads and 14 new handles in its time."

Sid: "How the hell can it be the same bloody broom then?"

Trig (indignantly): "Well here's a picture of it. What more proof do you need?"

I like the one where Del dates that dental receptionist (fatal attraction) and she calls Del a m.o.r.o.n at the surgery, Trigger answers like she is talking to him. You have to see it to laugh.

He will always be remembered for Trigger. Played that role really well. RIP
