I've just read down a touch and came across a post about how we can only play one or the other of Rooney and Rvp and the selling of one is necessary.

Then read its Rvp going?

Jesus wept guys!

I know he is many people's saviour, messiah, Demi god even but as a non Englishman I can see Rooney like many opposition fans can as a joke!

Made us out as a joke (twice), got the best deal in prem history off the back of a season where the best manager in the game wanted rid of him, has flirted with city, Chelsea, moyes's ring and ended up stinking of roses and having fans turn coats AGAIN and jump on the Rooney bandwagon of support.

Tell you what, when discussing potential signings do you want the guy desperate to join to win trophies or the one coming for the money?

Because that's what we have with Rooney and Rvp and far too many of you with your white and red face paint on can't see past your nose and realise that one of your own countrymen have taken this club for a bigger ride than ANYONE has in the past and came out with the fans calling for the head of the one man who's goals secured the title last season!

Honestly since the first episode he should have been gone and its only got worse since.

Although I'm not a clevers fan by any means I would gladly throw all my support behind him as a man playing for the shirt than that blindly following that tattie chops scouser to the detriment of our team!

Shocking!

What the flaming heck are you on about? Wayne Rooney has shown respect to Manchester United, did you see his celebration when united scored to draw against a team that time, he's great and deserves 300 k a game

Muppets

I think there are a lot of people who agree with you Jono and would pick Rvp before Rooney all day long. The funny thing is, if moyes does get the boot then we may find the new manager come in and prefer Rvp with kags, mata and one other behind him leaving Rooney on the bench.

3.) 06 Mar 2014
Anybody will be sacrificed to maintain Moyes position. Now rumours suggest Moyes is concerned with RVPs attitude and this is to give Moyes the high ground to get rid when chances are that RVP has seen him for what he is, a very ordinary coach.

4.) 06 Mar 2014
Very good post jono would have too agree with you on shrek and would also fear moyes is going to fill the team with a select few overpaid superstars playing for there pockets and not our club then fill gaps with average players ie welbeck wiggie.
To top it all after making Rooney top paid prem player even though he wouldn't even be in top 5 of the best prem players at mo, moyes is going to make him captain then he becomes club ambassador when we finally get the money grabbing scosser of the pitch!!
Its wrong wrong

Oh the irony.

You talk about Rooney disrespecting the club etc & how people see past it. Yet fail to realise you annd others are doing the exact same with RvP, a guy who is nowhere near the level of Wayne Rooney in terms of what he has done for this club. RvP is clearly talking against the club in the Dutch camp, he criticised his teammates recently and had to apologise. RvP is clearly not happy and is therefore clearly not giving 100%. That is unacceptable. RvP is sulking, as has been known to do throughout his career. He is not the be all and end all.

On the other hand, When Rooney clearly wasn't happy at the start of the season, what did he do? He got motm against a team he supposedly wanted to sign for. He knuckled down, showed his commitment with his performances and earned the respect and love back of all the sensible fans who don't hold grudges and who respect him for everything he's given the club. The money he is on is not a valid point, it means nothing to us as fans, who cares.

I know which of those two attitudes I would rather have at the club long-term.

6.) 06 Mar 2014
Agree with you there Jono, RVP came to United to win trophy's, If he wanted the money why not go to City, PSG or Chelsea.

Rooney was at one point my favourite player but seeing how he took the club for ransom I would rather he have gone and other world class players brought in to replace him.

He slows our play down and makes us more rigid which in todays game is a burden. When Moyes gave in to Rooney's demands my heart sank just a little more.

7.) 06 Mar 2014
I forgot that RVP was playing for free.

Rooney to get his contract he wanted had to keep his trap shut this time. He knew that without the fans support a second time there was no coming back. It's funny you mention national teams as I'm sure Rooney's convos with Gerrard for example were all 'man Utd is great I really want to stay and win trophies and treat the club with the most respect I can' but wait Gerrard could only answer saying that convo will stay private while smirking. He knew what he was up to same as Gerrard had previously with Chelsea. So I imagine now they are all together with England they are all having a laugh and joke about how he has went full circle from public enemy number one to messiah while signing a contract not warranted in the slightest.

So when you talk about respect you cannot use rooneys running around a pitch as an example when the man is a joke of a professional. He has not been without scandal, weight problems, juvenile behaviour, stroppy ness, petulance etc etc etc was he showing this club respect then?

And the money is a massive point! You probably ask why a world class signing would deserve asking for a massive contract well wtf has Rooney done this last year to deserve it? You think that's not ruffled many feathers in the camp? You think every player is looking at Rooney as a future leader? You think they all to a man think he deserves it? If you do your blind! The team will have been behind SAF stance to move him on without doubt so to have a surprise retirement and new man come in to bow down to massive financial demands when previously guys like welbeck, brown etc couldn't squeeze an extra 10k out of us wil have made a mockery of all SAF and hie regime stood for, of which allot of players followed without hesitation.

Noses will be out of place at what has happened and its not going to change. Rvp will not be the first. I'm glad Ddg didn't go to Spain squad as there will be the next story. Chicho, rafa and others supposedly voicing concerns yet one that's stayed mighty quiet during this is the man sitting on his massive pile of gold laughing his sizeable t*ts off at how he is secure for life no matter how bad the team does!

He is not a winner he is a mercenary that we have just secured for life!

Well done us!

Red Man, I hope you're not listening to rumours, incorporating them into a conspiracy theory to suit your argument, and presenting them as fact again! What have I told you about that?

I think you forgot to add on, 'in my opinion' at the end :) or maybe it wasn't an oversight.

If RVP goes, then so be it. I love the guy as a footballer, and would certainly have him in before Wayne, but if he's going to be disruptive, then I don't care who he is, he has to go. Although I think we're a long way from that. One forthright post-match interview, and a lot of rumours.

It's got nothing to do with whether or not he doesn't rate Moyes, and it really shouldn't matter if he likes the manager or not. Most importantly, he would be disrespecting the club and the fans.

But like I said, it's all rumours just now, so no point in getting our knickers in a twist.

10.) 06 Mar 2014
Dear mr Jono
That's the most twisted and inaccurate and most negatively biased opinion of Rooney he has ever heard
Ngiak humbly totally disagrees with you
Rooney has been the most hardworking and the only deserving player of the jersey and badge this season

Each to their own mate. I would argue that the only player worth his salt this year is my previous nemesis ddg, hasn't really put a foot wrong other than Sunderland clanger. Rooney has shown more effort than last year but I think many are realistically forgetting how bad he actually was last year and before that. Remember that man that was in charge last year that was desperate to have him gone? I would say he would have had the full backing of the team had he stayed and sold Rooney. Nobody would be questioning it but he had the confident Utd ready to beat anyone on their day whereas moyes simply couldn't come in and move him on incase it all went t*ts up and that would be the main 'failing' he would be criticised for. So if as predicted a few leave this summer and stories leak of unrest and dissent amongst the players at the way Rooney is being treated then would you say the team is better for him staying?

I wouldn't now even before they say anything. If you go by what gcu said he found out in their company it seems a fair few very influential players are severely pi**ed off at it all and grudges don't bode we'll in any team never mind one struggling.

Steve

Like I said above mate, if Rodney's deal has put allot of players nose out of joint would you not describe that as disruptive? Was he disruptive the last time over his contract? Yet as you said the better player is annoyed and voicing his concerns and its ok to let him go? I don't get that mate?

12.) 06 Mar 2014
@ Jono

Wow, you really need to relax. Your blatant hatred for a Manchester United player is baffling.

13.) 06 Mar 2014
I can't stand him Steven tbh and if his contract has indeed created more unrest in the players I cannot fathom how it came about he was even given one. As I said its a joke.

{Ed004's Note - I agree}

14.) 06 Mar 2014
Jono, my views on Rooney are well known on here, mate. I would have had him shipped out before now.

I said "chances are" and you do know this is a banter site rather than my schoolbook. I actually thoroughly understand the principles of supporting the manager versus a disruptive player. However the circumstances need to be examined more thoroughly in this instance. If (note if) RVP is unsettled, so soon after arriving and performing so well last season then the club need to understand why he suddenly feels that way. SAF had power to make decisions like that but he had earned it and even then he got it wrong occasionally, Stam for example. It has to be put in context, he may not be the only one who is unsettled. As we know Vidic, his captain is leaving when the manager did not want him to, then there are the results and demeanour of the team. It is too simple just to get rid of a player in this instance. I believe you support the manager and if it was just one player disrupting then absolutely the player goes before the manager but I believe if it is true then the situation needs to be examined in light of the overall situation to find out whether there is a potential bigger underlying issue that needs to be resolved. We don't know what reality is but the club do need to know.

Ya!
Without Wazza's contribution, we would have been around 20 points below top 4 and u would be here happy about the money we saved and smiling about how loyal our players are. Shut up man! PSG ain't got loyal players nor Chelsea or rubbishty . I don't give a rubbish about money or anything else if a player gives his best in pitch. Despite being discarded from his fav position he is giving his best.
May be U r right mate. We should sell one of our best player and give the money we saved to Glazer's or eat burger enough for the rest of our life

Aakroz!

p s sorry edd! I am not able to log in from my cell here.hope u post it
