fabregas getting booed by his own supporters? talk about having double standards! catalonians being a proud bunch get a quality midfielder back playing for his boyhood club and yet they still boo him? he's still a phenomenal player and only 26! it must be terribly difficult for you barca fans to have someone as 'bad' as fabregas bringing your team down. like spoilt kids

1 year ago wenger said Fabregas would not move for another season. He will come to arsenal

{Ed004's Note - Am I the only one that would prefer Fabregas to Kroos?}

2.) 01 May 2014
He can't be delighted at it.

3.) 01 May 2014
I agree that Fabregas would be preferable to Kroos - and almost any other player for that matter. Just what we need.

We also need a strong defensive midfielder to put the steel back in the spine of the team IMO.

I'd take Cesc over Kroos. Expect he'll go to Arsenal though (not that they need him) and still think Kroos will sign a new contract.

No I'm with u ed on this one I would much prefer fabregas. Really don't think we need kroos plus I don't see what all the fuss is about with him he isn't spectacular for the mojey being banded around. I wouldn't be happy if we wasted 30 million plus on him

{Ed004's Note - I'd happily spend 34-40 mill on either tbh}

Cesc over Kroos more. Both are great players but Cesc is PL proven and doesn't shirk getting physical.

I wonder if DDG, Mata and RVP could influence him? Doubt it though.

I am with Ed004 I would go for Fabregas but then I got panned on here for suggesting he was the real deal before he went to Barca. Cesc has EPL experience and has a drive about him so we know he can play well in our league and he has a bit of bite. I looked for Kroos when Bayern were going down this week and I just get the feeling if we were in a battle that Fabregas provides aggression skill and goals. Kroos is a nice player, can pass a ball but do we need someone to spray passes or someone to drive the team? Cesc for me

{Ed004's Note - Cesc was captain at a young age for arsenal which surely shows he possess some leadership ability. After all he grew up with Viera etc. I also liked the bite he has ie clashes with lampard etc. didn't let people walk over him but I suppose Kroos is a bigger build so could be harder to push around}

Speaking of midfielders I think Herrera and Pjanic are nth a good shut. Herrera has that little bit of nasty to him which I like.

The reality is any 2 good ones will massively improve us.

Depends on how many central midfielders you believe we should keep from our current squad.

I'd get rid of all of them; Cleverley, Fletcher, Carrick, Fellaini & Anderson (remember him?) and buy four new ones.

Plenty of room for any four of Fabragas, Kroos, Carvalho, Herrera, Vidal, Pjanic, plus a youth player or two.

There's plenty of games to go round and it means that when one of our top midfielders is injured or needs a rest, we're not replacing them with sh*t. Imagine it. Fabragas gets a serious injury and suddenly Fellaini is by default first choice for central midfield. What a bloody climbdown. far better Fabragas gets injured but no worries because we can replace him with Herrera or Kroos. We might even be able to effect some technical nuance depending on the type of central midfielders who are selected. Imagine that; being able to replace quality with quality?

Its a measure of how crap we have become when I'm seriously advocating changing everyone in a central midfield position. The same can be said for all our wingers (save Adnan).

It's a mess and I can't wait for a new manager to get in there and start getting rid of the dross that's been allowed to accumulate in this squad and has been indulged for far too long.
