Interestingly Rob Dawson has claimed in a questions and answers session for the Manchester Evening News that Man Utd have no interest in Arturo Vidal and that United believe that all the supposed claims of interest are coming from Vidal and his agent. Will be gutted if this turns out to be true but the man does seem a bit more reputable than some of the other tabloid journalists. All of his answers seemed quite measured, sensible and credible. I know this is not what we wanted to hear.

He is wrong this time. Just few more days and we will see the truth

All of the local journalists are being given no info this summer from the club. The club clearly want to avoid another disaster like last summer.

More and more reports that lvg wants strootman before vidal or kross .
Really hope this isn't true

If Journos aren't told anything then they have to try and guess otherwise they will have empty papers. I won't read into anything any paper says at the minute.

Actually, this might be a question for some of the eds if they have the time. What journalists, if any, do you feel have, for want of a better word "inside insight" into United's transfer dealings?

Jred, I agree, we need to bring Vidal in. Strootman would be okay, but Vidal is the best out there.

The Vidal deal just makes sense for both parties. He's the best all round midfielder we could possibly buy at the moment and he's obviously looking for a pay rise that Juventus just can't afford (and maybe a new challenge in the PL).

I simply can't believe there's nothing in it.

I have ONE issue with Strootman. I seriously doubt we can get him, until at least next summer and that'll be far too late. We will not make top 4 without a serious addition in midfield.
