Ed, with Vidals knee injury would he still be able to pass a medical with us if a deal was done? Or is there any way we could still sign him without depending on the medical? This probably sounds stupid there is obvious interest and it's clear we want a deal to be done so is there ways it can be done even if his knee is still niggling him?

{Ed002's Note - As his physician I would have to say it won't be a problem.}

Hargreaves anybody? Should we really commit so much money on someone who still has a niggle with his knee? Great player, but he's not Ronaldo or Messi.

AJH, or should we not bother buying Vidal and let the £50m go towards the debt :)

I think I would prefer Vidal, injured or not.

Sydney, that's not what I said. We need to buy but £45M for someone who may have a dodgy knee is not sensible. We need a CB and. String CM urgently, just don't agree it has to be Vidal.

AJH, fair enough mate, but if it's not Vidal then it will probably be Carrick :)

AJH - I'm not sure it's fair to call it a dodgey knee just yet. He picked up a niggling injury at the wrong time is all.
