Very Impressed with Fabian Schar yesterday, Playing away from home in such an important game and he didn't do anything wrong. Was really very solid yesterday, I know that his name has been taken on here quite a few times and would be happy if we can get him (if we don't sign Varane).

22 years of age, playing regularly for club and country, very good in bringing the ball out of defense.

Thoughts??

Have I missed something? Since when has Varane been a target for us? United clearly want Hummels or Godin, but I wouldn't rule out Vertonghen.

Schar did okay, but Liverpool are pretty hopeless in attack this season. They massively overachieved last season even with Suarez they overachieved.

Syd, Varane has been linked with us, may be bad reporting by some papers, but still if he is available we should go for him. will be cheaper than Godin who has a 28.5 mil release clause i guess.

With Vertonghen being a lefty, do you think we'd just cut our losses on Rojo already?! After spending almost £20million on him this summer?

I think we'll be going for a RFCB, to partner Rojo if anything. With 2/3 of Evans, Smalling and Jones being kept and one being sold.

I thought the best player on the pitch was the right back, Xhaka, lightening quick, excellent passer, and very good in the tackle. I have seen him before and has always impressed.
We need to solve the right back position as Rafael is totally unreliable.

We need s rb and cb every one knows that but I think where ok in the middle and don't need. Strootman especially the prices being reported I'd be more than happy with clyne and hummels/godin

I agree, stroppy man is a risk at the quoted prices, we would be better going for a prem proven player who would be cheaper, my choices would be shneiderlain, cattermole, cabaye in that order, thoughts guys?
