He's not a good DM because his timing for a tackle is poor and he gives away too many fouls. Putting him closer to our goal especially in the penalty area is a disaster waiting to happen. He is also slow and cumbersome.

He would make a poor defender. His best position is as either a box to box midfielder or as a second striker. In both roles it is the chaos he causes with his physicality which is the strongest part of his game. In either role he isn't good enough for a team challenging for the top prizes.

While we were watching the Southampton fiasco. Looking at felaini being totally lost in midfield, I said exactly the same thing to my son who was sat next to me. And a lot of the season ticket holders around us agreed.
He can't be any worse than he is in midfield and it will free Blind to play in his position.

Best place foe Fellaini would be his sofa and he can watch from their.

I would love to see Blind in midfield and when we talk about a partner for Smalling we never mention Jones any more because of his injuries. A big mistake was letting Evans go but its happened so we have to get on with it. Really need a top class centre half.
Quite frankly the best position for Fellaini is with another club.

I'm sure if we have all thought of it, the manager and coaching staff have too and decided it is a terrible idea as he would give a record number of penalties away and can't even win any headers currently.

I remember a similar situation when we had a fire going out of control and didn't have any water to put it out with. We were trying to put it out with orange juice, but decided that petrol would be a better choice.

His physical presence is what we need in central defence but he would get s red every time played at CB, he's strong but reckless, he does'nt have the brain for CB.

Fellani is a, no in defence. There are people we could buy short term who would do a job especially as we would look at a no nonsense CB. The flair ones like Stones shold be longer term.
If you want to move blind to CM Or LB then just put mcnair in there and give him a run regardless of mistakes.
Has anyone considered Shawcross, the record for Stoke with him in as opposed to out is unbelievable. Then there is Williams from Swansea as another short term inexpensive option. Or go after Reid
Ultimately we need some extra bodies at the back to cover the injuries we are getting.

Fellaini's height would suggest that he would be good. But he would be a penalty waiting to happen always. His best position is left out.

To be fair LVG would probably play him there as he seems to like playing people out of position, personally I would rather have a back 3 with blind and schniederlen in front, Herrera in the no 10 role and Rooney and martial up top with Memphis and pereira on the wings and Darmian and borthwick-Jackson as full backs.

I think people massively underestimate the quality and intelligence you need to be a good defender, its not just as simple as "yeah he's tall, he'd be a great CB"

Indeed some of the best cbs have been shorties.

I don't think I've ever seen a player as tall as Fellaini. Lose do many aerial challenges and his tackling is amateur at best. Terrible idea.
