Ed are Utd taking a serious look at Belotti from Torino
Also do you think there are deals already in place to go as soon as the window opens to get the business done early?

Eric is god

{Ed004's Note - I don't think there are currently any deals in place and we are keen on Belotti}

04 Jun 2016 18:24:20
Eds any truth in the Bailly from Villarreal rumours?

Eric is god

{Ed004's Note - Seems to be some substance behind it. Never seen him play though}

1.) 06 Jun 2016 00:20:06
I like the look of Bailly. strong and solid defender who primarily concentrates on defending and stays on his feet until necessary! Looks like a slightly more athletic and considered Vidic! Could be a very good signing. would love us to have a back 4 of Fosu-Mensah/ Smalling/ Bailly/ Blind. please keep hold of Blind. he is such a versatile player!

2.) 06 Jun 2016 05:54:33
You'd have Blind at left back over Shaw or CBJ Toby? I agree keep hold of him for versatility but either of those should start ahead of him in my opinion.

13 Dec 2015 17:32:21
Anyone heard the rumour that LVG has offered his resignation?

Eric is god

1.) 13 Dec 2015 17:47:47
Oh bugged it's BS.

13 Dec 2015 12:00:02
Ed's quick question would PSG let Zlatan go in January?

Eric is god

{Ed001's Note - yes.}

1.) 13 Dec 2015 12:17:14
Please not Zlatan lol Chelsea would be more of a logic move or see the season out and move to the MLS, imagine the reunion of Zlatan and (possibly our future manager) Pep or as Zlatan likes to call him the "philosopher"

2.) 13 Dec 2015 12:35:34
Why not surely he would score goals even if he had to do it on his own for a season and a half.

3.) 13 Dec 2015 12:51:27
I just think his time has sailed, it be a short term solution and I rather just play Martial more, Zlatan been a cracking player and at one point probably the 3rd best player in the world but United need to rebuild and I rather through youth to be honest I rather they get a Kane, Embolo, Aubameyang etc.

4.) 13 Dec 2015 15:07:14
Zlatan is top class and wins games on his own. We have nobody at the moment who can do that, he would be a top signing.

5.) 13 Dec 2015 23:24:11
He was, i'm not sure if he would be able to play at the high level of English Football week in and week out at his age, plus he plays in a league with no competition at all which makes him look better than he is

I think he will see the year out at PSG and look for one last big payday at a move towards the MLS, I wouldn't rule out a return to AC Milan aswell.

6.) 14 Dec 2015 08:07:47
I am Zlatan.
I appreciate all the arguments, he would clash witH LVG, it would be short term, it would shunt Martial out.
But, I would take Zlatan in a heart beat. He would encourage a higher rate, make the players work harder, would attract defenders leaving space for others and bring the same aura as Cantona.
For whatever the question is. the answer is Zlatan.

01 Sep 2015 15:02:19
Eds I don't suppose there is anything in the Laporte stories from Spain, saying we will meet his buyout clause?

Eric is god

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what you are talking about.}

Has anyone read the article the secret on Jose and why he was ousted at Chelsea twice, be careful what you wish for.
To all those toxics who have been blind to what Jose can bring, buckle up its going to get bumpy.

1.) 22 May 2016 11:03:14
I'm not the biggest Mourinho mark but difference is between us and Chelsea is that we have a culture and Mr Mourinho will have to swallow some of his pride and adhere to some of the philosophies.

2.) 22 May 2016 11:07:16
i completely disagree. i watched quite a few chelsea games this season and they showed more fight than us. yes they were losing but you just cannot accuse them of a lack of trying. when we were in our december sump, there were times when we had 1 shot on target the whole game. that is, a lack of trying.

3.) 22 May 2016 11:26:03
Like he did at Madrid you mean.

4.) 22 May 2016 11:28:24
I don't buy into the Jose doesn't play youth is boring stuff at all, he adapts to what is in front of him, something LVG and Moyes didn't do. Porto, Chelsea first stint, attacking exciting football, Inter he played versatile formations to outwit opponents, Real scored record goals and points tally, 2nd stint at Chelsea he built a team, won the league playing great football, title was won by new year and saw it out.
He gave multiple debuts to youth at Porto and Real, Real and Chelsea are clubs who do not promote youth, Jose was the manager of those clubs who adopt that philoshophy, I don't believe it's a Jose philoshophy.
That's what's great about the man, he's a great tactician, can play attacking, fast football, can park the bus when needs be, he's adaptable and versatile and a serial winner, why wouldn't we want that at our club?
As for his misdemeanours, let's not forget a certain SAF wasn't exactly Santa Claus, he had his arrogance, intimidation, we didn't seem mind backing him.
What we've missed is that us versus them mentality, an identity, galvanising effect, that's what SAF brought us, that's what Jose will bring us. Just read up SAF opinion on Jose, the great man himself recommends Jose, that's good enough for me.
Anyway, rant over ha.

5.) 22 May 2016 11:41:05
well sitting in the unites section ad listening to people around, the fans are not happy with LVG. It was quite embarrassing as they booed him at the end, I did not but his failure to secure CL was always his end. Jose will be judged by the same yardstick and he knows it.

6.) 22 May 2016 12:19:33
eric just read that article most of the quotes in it are supposedly by some chelsea player, it is not as if chelsea players have a history of mutineering against manager if they don't like what he is doing.

7.) 22 May 2016 13:36:09
Eric, I've read the article and it is the biggest load of bull there is. Written by an ex Chelsea player with an axe to grind.
Have you seriously looked into mourinho's records at all the clubs he's been at? They all have the same common denominator, lots of goals, record points, powerful teams, astute tactics, full commitment. Is this not what we want to see at United?
Give the guy a break and take the blinkers off. Just because he's managed one of our competitors doesn't make him a bad guy.
The fact he has turned down several top clubs shows that he wants our job badly. He has more hunger and passion inside his little finger than lvg had.
People forget. We scored 49 goals this season, only 5 more than Newcastle, 15 less than moyes year. We got knocked out of the easiest cl group playing rubbish football. Mitgiland beat us away. Norwich and West Bromwich beat us. Stoke thrashed us as did arsenal and spurs. We had one shot during the fa cup match against Sheffield United. We played boring, uninspiring football throughout. And yet, people are scared mourinho might be a rough ride! Of course it will as he's a perfectionist and will DEMAND high standards and knows the fans have HIGH EXPECTATIONS and rightly so. Bring him on and thank you and goodbye lvg.

20 May 2016 17:51:00
Am I hearing right, Phil Jones in the cup final squad, Memphis not in the squad.

Eric is god

1.) 20 May 2016 18:42:35
If Jones starts what's the betting he gets injured till October ish, meaning he will still be here next season.

2.) 20 May 2016 18:52:02
He has done nothing to deserve a place in that squad, Memphis should be on bench, januzaj shouldn't be there.

3.) 20 May 2016 19:52:27
That is a real kick in the balls to memphis been in the squad all season then dropped for the most inportant match same for fousa spelling one mistake and dropped like most have said before if all the requlars had been fit we would not see these youngesters for dust.

4.) 20 May 2016 20:04:32
Heard that borthwick Jackson isn't there either, if anything he deserves a place more than Memphis especially considering how poor Rojo has been. Don't know for sure whether he's been dropped or has a knock but not taking him at all seems very harsh.

5.) 20 May 2016 20:09:32
Do we know if injuries occurred?

6.) 21 May 2016 04:43:28
Hi guys. Very disappointed about depay.
all people talks about giving the youngsters chance. There are those who says Jose won't give them a chance.
Answer one question. If we did not have all the injuries hw many of those youngsters would lvg gave a chance.
Plus lvg is an ass. Not giving players a chance like depay and pareira ( spelling) .
think back when Ronaldo first came to United. He also was criticized by some for been to gready loosing the ball. Divinig. But Ferguson stuck with him. Look at him now. Lvg is not giving depay a gud run.
Anyway let's all enjoy the final today. We will be lifting the cup. And if rumors are tru Monday we welcome jose.

7.) 21 May 2016 06:16:07
Devils, do you watch our games? Depay has been poor for most of the season. He doesn't look interested and appears shot of confidence. He was a starter at the beginning of the season but after a bright start soon went downhill. I'm sure everyone will blame LVG for that but it's up to Depay to work hard and pick up his game. Right now he doesn't deserve to be in the team.

8.) 21 May 2016 06:57:44
But when he has come on he has created chances.

9.) 21 May 2016 10:54:04
If he has I haven't noticed.

10.) 21 May 2016 15:01:09
Hey ajh. U asked me if I was watching our games. Think u have not been watching. Depay as created chances. If u can criticise him. Wat does lingad do. He. Just runs with ball no end product. Why is he not dropped. Lvg wants to play lingad at 10. depay is a much better no 10. not say depay deserves to start. But Atleast be on bench. I remember when vidic and evra was criticized when they first came. But Now They united legends cause fergie gave them a chance. Unlike lvg.

07 May 2016 07:34:48
After last nights reports can we expect to see Williams, tuanzebe, and fosu mensah in the first team squad next season?
Are the answers to defence and midfield here already?

Eric is god

1.) 07 May 2016 09:32:12
Need a mix of youth and experience, and real depth. This year we've been relying on one recognised CB for the season. Blind has done well but we had to play two holding mids for most of the season to protect our central defence. Need at least one top class CB. Unfortunately we have perma injured Jones and not good enough Rojo on the books. We need to get rid of these two and use the youth as backup.

The midfield is technically well stocked, but Carrick is in decline and slows down play, Schwein (who I really like as a player and a person) simply isn't capable of playing at the top level any more, Fellaini doesn't fit the system, Mata doesn't fit the system, and Herrera has been more miss than hit. Players like Fuzzy Mensa should be given a clear role next season, but we really need to create a midfield that works for us. Too many square pegs and flat tempo there at the moment.

Take a look at what the class of 92 say, they succeeded because they had top quality experienced players alongside them. Our current youth need the same quality to help them develop.

2.) 07 May 2016 10:57:41
Fuzzy Mensah, love it. I agree with Danny, we need experience but sadly some of the experience we have is not delivering. So far, Schweini has been a let down even when fit and for some reason Schneiderlin can't get in the team. We all need to solve the Rooney conundrum. He is now talking about moving into midfield but can he do it effectively and consistently? The oldies on here will remember Brian McLair moved into midfield and did pretty well and Rooney has more natural talent than Choccy so if he commits to it and gets his head around it maybe he will do well.

We do need some squad surgery but I would keep Carrick purely for his experience and play him sparingly.

I'd like to see a number of the youngsters promoted and given real chances but we do need a top CF (or forward) and CB.

I still maintain that the players we have are better than what we are seeing. A different Manager with a different system and approach would deliver better football and better results with these same players.

3.) 07 May 2016 11:04:19
I'd say that Herrera needs a run in team. Mata has been given one and is distinctively average. Schneiderlin has been ok.

The team has been set up to play a particular way. If imagine if we had signed the players LVG had wanted we may have played an attacking 433 more often than with two holding players.

The fustrating thing is that certain players seem to get phererential treatment Rojo being an example. CBJ has been a revelation a lb and made the defence more reliable and resilient.

Rojo can put in a decent cross but under pressure he buckles and gets booked.

LVGs post match interviews deflect criticism off his players, but his outlandish approach is baffling. This is where LVG let's himself down and is open to criticism.

However LVG did say that the club needed to appoint a technical director to help Woodward. I'd imagine that there is some tension between the two.

Long term LVG will set up a team for his successor to build on. The foundations have definitely been made. The squad is a very good squad. The first team is lacking.

Pursuing Ramos last summer was fruitless. I would have expected that we would have had a list of 5 potential CBs to buy. Work your way down the list if you can't buy them.

I said last summer that Alderwerald should be bought. Spurs paid peanuts for him.

Our main problem has been that as fans we expect that or would be surprised to lose games that at one point in our lives we would haven them as 3 pointers.

The 9 games we've lost this season in the league reinforces that.

Simply we've not been good enough against the weaker teams in the league.

4.) 07 May 2016 08:21:48
Squad yes, first team regulars. not yet.

02 May 2016 22:10:34
On top of everything else Leicester have been good at all the tricks going down for fouls, arms elbows fouling and diving maybe it's the Italian influence, maybe we need an Italian defensive coach.

Will the scousers get chucked out of Europe for that failed drug test.

Eric is god

1.) 23 Apr 2016 20:15:30
No unfortunately, it was 1 player not the whole team.

2.) 23 Apr 2016 20:37:24
We can only hope!

3.) 23 Apr 2016 20:53:04
I hope they will be, then if we finish 4th and they win the Europa league we are safe.

4.) 23 Apr 2016 20:55:39
As far as I'm aware there needs to be two players or more for that to happen. I may be wrong though. Remember Rio just missed a test and got a huge ban despite testing negative. I suspect he will get s few months if found guilty and will only miss pre season really anyway.

5.) 23 Apr 2016 22:26:19
Given that he scored one of the goals that knocked them out of the Europa League; I would not be at all surprised if Dortmund were speaking with their legal team right about now.

It would be one thing if this came to light at the end of the season; but as the Semi Finals are yet to happen it seems a little harsh that Dortmund should be knocked out by a cheat and for Liverpool not to be punished for that.

Watching us last night I wish we had signed Bernardo silva He can keep the ball, we are miles away, Lukaku did nothing to impress me or change my mind about him, didn't look mobile, or have a great touch.

Dybala, Belotti, are better and will move more around pitch, and create and push forward.
It won't be long before he says he dreams of playing for another team like he did at Everton, I would have tested Kane's resolve although it's unlikely we would have got him.
Lewandowski if far better and worth the fee it would have costed.
