Alright folks.

Although it pains me to say it, let alone think it. But I have a sneaking suspicion we will be seeing LVG here next season.

He has a contract until 2017. He is stubborn enough to think he is doing a good job, so no need to resign.

Also Woodworm has no spine and won't sack him.

Worrying times ahead folks I think.

I doubt he will be. Supposedly he has been talked out of walking away at least once. To be honest the way the press hounded him at Christmas, and his comments seemed to be that of a man who wanted out.

I might not like it but I think Mourinho will be coming in July.

I don't think the club have swung the axe for a couple of reasons. One being they don't wanna be seen as a sacking club, or a club that gives in to pressure from the press. And secondly because if Mourinho doesn't want to take over mid season then who manages us until next season?

I don't think Giggs wants to keep someone elses job warm for them again. He wants the top job, doing it again on a temporary basis is a bit like rubbing his face in it.
Joyce could well do a good job, but would he he happy to go back to the under 21's after that? If he does a good job then it will certainly give other clubs looking for a manager something to think about.
For the sake of moving LvG on early could cost us extra money in settlement and it could cost us Joyce.

On balance its probably not worth getting rid of him until the end of the season.

Let him see it out, have a clean break at the end of the season. Let him leave with some dignity and don't make the club look bad while limiting collateral damage in upsetting Giggs or losing Joyce.

Good post Shappy. I have stood by LVG all season but have to admit I think he needs to go. I don't know if he has lost the dressing room or is just to stubborn to change what is happening on the pitch, either way many of the players are just not good enough, and when the young kids came into the team for a few games they showed what could be done with hunger and passion. The likes of Fellaini are just stopping the kids getting regular games, and as we saw with Pogba they leave to make their name elsewhere.

I hope you are right Shappy.
Although I have my resevations about Mourinho, he at least knows what the Prem is about. Has a track record of winning things too.

Ed002 replied to one of my posts pertaining to the managerial situation in the beginning of February in which he did say that the veggies and toxics have got their way and we will see the back of LVG come the end of the season. So it's almost a mathematical certainty that LVG is done. Mourinho or not, well we need 002 for that.

I think that the main reason he hasn't gone is because we aren't a sacking club, and that the seasons objectives are mathematically still possible in terms of finishing 3rd - regardless of how implausible they are.

When third is mathematically impossible (probably with around 4 games to go) and we go out the FA Cup and Europa League in the coming days, then he will be sacked and a stand in will be appointed - which I hope isn't Giggs because any signs of good management would probably get him the nod over Mourinho which would be a disaster.

If it is to be Mourinho I believe we may see a slightly different one to the past season at Chelsea. I think even he will have been chastened by the backlash from the Physio issue and the noise from disenchanted players.
He Will be refreshed, he Will be at the club that he has coveted for years now. He will have a plan for the summer already drawn up and just needs Woodward to implement. He is connected so could pull in some interesting players.
An. interesting thing would be his backupteam. wIll he Want Giggs? Withthe Karanka situation at MMiddlesbrough could he be convinced to come in as number 2?
If he got us playing the same as Chelsea at the start of last year we would be happy with that.
I don't know if it will be successful. Willhe last more than 3 years. But if he does come I don't think. it is, quite the doom and gloom we are concerned about.
