Beautiful game yesterday and one of our best performances along with the Liverpool performance.

Rooney played well and if he played like this for the past year or so he wouldn't have lost his place, i think he has learnt a thing or two from Ibra about holding the ball up or playing balls to other attacking players instead of wandering all over the pitch for no reason.

Pogba, Carrick, Lingard and Mata had good games too and it was nice to see Martial get on the score sheet.

I think we will beat Chelsea as we are high on confidence and Ibra will score a goal against Cahill and co.

Agreed Singh, a very good performance and along with the pool result a good confidence builder.

I think we are beginning to see Jose's methods beginning to work. Imo we are more disciplined and playing as a tighter unit.

Does any one know what happened to Smalling though, I did notice Jose quite animated when he fluffed a clearance and then he does not come out for the 2nd half?

Perfect night all in all, spread some goals around the team which should boost confidence and van persie got a goal and more importantly a great reception considering his hasty departure.

Also good to see tfm get a run out in midfield and give an energetic cameo.

I was delighted when RVP scored, still sad he left.

As for the team selection last night, it does make you wonder how we fit then all in. Pogba should play, Carrick showed what he adds to the team, we don't have another player with the vision and passing ability of him, Mata adds slick movement and passion in close quarters and links the play together really well and Herrera has looked class in terms of energy, enthusiasm, tackling and controlling Midfield and link up play.

But there's only 3 places.

Same problem applies to then wings to some extent but it seems less problematic out there, more a case of pretty much any if out options are good, where as in Midfield it's trying to figure out how to make it work.
