Am I glad that City have Joe Hart, woeful goalkeeping although the rest of the team were not any better to be honest.
But the manager? is he LVG in disguise.

At least LVG knew to play Rashford, 4 minutes was an absolute joke and one of the biggest managerial mistakes any manager has ever made. The only positive from last night for me was that United have Rashford, he is going to give us a lot of good memories.

Someone pointed out yesterday that he does seem to have a weakness with shots low to his left. Apparently a lot of the "howlers" he has let in have come from shots to his left. His left wrist does appear to be made of jelly.

Too true ed001, the premier league is an absolute disgrace for allowing a match to happen so late on new years eve.
I know the two cities are not that far apart but both these teams (more so Liverpool) have fans across the country and Europe, it is a pure sell out for the money.
{Ed001's Note - it was only set up to make money in the first place, so I suppose it is only to be expected.}

Ah I see what you mean Deano.
The ref certainly had a mare and yes it is happening more often, as they struggle to cope with the pace of the game.
This on the day when for the first time, a video reply was used to award a pen.

Deano I do not think the governing bodies can take retrospective action, as Rojo was booked. I think the rules sort of say that the ref has seen the challenge and taken appropriate action.
On just about everything else fully agree with you, Ibra, Pogba and Herrera were all top class, happy days ahead I feel:-)

Great post Betty completely agree.
There are does seem to be an element of some posters wallowing in any negatives they can find or they can manifest themselves.
The way we are playing at the moment reminds me of how we played just prior to Cantona joining. Then we were dominating games but struggling to score or finish off games.
I believe the biggest effect Cantona had on the team was belief/ confidence or even arrogance.
Last season we were dominating games with something like 70 percent possession but only a couple of attempts at goal, if that many. This season we are creating a lot more
chances but in doing so give a little of the possession away but still we are trying to play on the front foot.
A little more belief a little more commitment and I think we will start to turn things around.

Agreed Singh, a very good performance and along with the pool result a good confidence builder.
I think we are beginning to see Jose's methods beginning to work. Imo we are more disciplined and playing as a tighter unit.
Does any one know what happened to Smalling though, I did notice Jose quite animated when he fluffed a clearance and then he does not come out for the 2nd half?
