Leahy,

Neil Taylor is an friend I've known from my school days. He's not a dirty player whatsoever. What he is, is fully committed, and there's nothing wrong with that. Why should he be banned for 12 months? Pathetic thing to say. He mistimed his challenge and was over the ball, fair enough, a red card for sure. But there was no malice at all. He will be feeling crap enough about it without people like you giving comments like that. He suffered a broken ankle a few years back and was out for 6 months, so knows all about being on the receiving end of a challenge.

The refs fault. Ireland were filthy and somehow managed to go without a card for the first half. If that elbow on Allen wasn't a yellow/ red u don't know what is. If the refs had given out yellows in the first half to both sides then it wouldn't have got as fiery. In the end you were lucky to get a draw, Wales outplayed Ireland who were equally dirty.

I haven't seen the incident but it is always sad to see a player have such a serious injury. I hope that Coleman makes a full and speedy recovery.

Poor tackle but 12 month ban is an overreaction.
Gutted for Coleman. A lovely lad and is a player I've wanted at United for about 3 or 4 years. Genuine top class player.
Bale also put in a shocking tackle but the Irish players left in elbows on a couple of occasions too.
A fair result imo and a decent one too for the Irish.

The 12 month's was tongue and cheek.
Stand what are you on about is it ok to tackle like that cause he broke his own leg or is it cause you know him. it is a leg breaking tackle, I don't care whether he did it before or not. it was horrible have you seen the pics of Coleman's leg. speedy recovery to the boy.
He won't play for a long long time.

Nobody is denying it was a horrible injury. But in contact sport on rare occasions these things happen. Some of the stuff I've seen written on social media is pathetic. He was late and high, but that's it. No intention to hurt anyone.

Stand when players go on late and high it's done with the intention to foul and hurt nobody I'm sure gores in with the intention to break an opponents leg but they are going in with the intention of fouling. Poor decision and it was a decision not an accident by Taylor in spite of it being out of character. A shocking tackle and no place for it in football. I've no doubt he regrets it now.

It is a shame that it happened, there is always a risk. Personally, I am hoping that he is back for the world cup!

Stand, I don't really care that he was your friend. Didn't he kick another right back in the head a few months ago (Walker) Maybe he isn't a dirty player as you suggest, although I would know people who disagree. Maybe he is just really bad at timing when it comes to tackling?

Dirty player or not, I've just seen it and it was a terrible tackle aimed with intent. There should be no place for that in football but unfortunately it happens.
I'll give him a 12 match ban for it and if he came back and not learned his lesson then a season ban.
Btw, the match was played in bad spirit and the ref was pathetic. The Irish were equally bad and should have had a man sent off.

I didn't see the tackle in real time but have seen the pics of colemans leg, feel for the lad, was a red card of course, I don't think Taylor or anyone intentionally goes in to break someone's leg though so a 12 month ban would be ridiculous.

The ref was bad, I don't think there was a red card there for an Irish player but bale should have got a straight red.
