Ozil done very good job playing the 10 role for Jose at madrid I can't why James couldn't do a similar job at united.

8 goals and 6 assists from 13 starts and 8 sub appearances under Zidane this season. I don't think those are bad stats.

More goals than our second top goal scorer and equal with our top assist makers.

I agree jred. Those that are call him a weak premadoona need to take a closer look at what we have here at the moment.
James is a better player than any of our existing attacking options imo.
Price of course will be relevant. I would not consider 50m plus but at under that number we would be getting a very good player.
I'm not sure how often people who comment on him have seen him play.
As for his attitude being suspect? Just as well fergie never thought that about cantonna stam or kanchelskis or we would never have seen them at OT.

There's no doubting his talent. However, there are players we could look at for the same price who would fit our side much better than James. £50 million towards a world class forward, CM or CB would be far better spent than signing another number 10 of which we already have 3 or 4. As much as James can play wide his best football is played when he is given a more free roaming role. For me he as likely to score or create as Mkhitaryan but twice the price of him and not as quick. He wouldn't be an awful signing but far from the best we would make.

I am given comfort he won't be signing by the Sharkopod though.

For starters, james won't be surrounded by the kind of players that ozil was at madrid.
