I have not commented on this forum for a very long time.

Think a lot of you need to give these players a fresh start under ole, you can't decided to sell 6-7 players because of one poor game.

Anyway role on spurs.

Some players have been lingering under the last three managers . The time has come to get rid. Smalling Valencia Fellaini Rojo etc. We need upgrades if we are to challenge. 😆😆.

The problem is many of these players have been here under the last managers and in some cases dating back to Fergie. They've consistently shown that they aren't good enough so no. No more fresh starts. A proper clear out is needed.

Could we have found our new centre back in our own ranks. Darmian was excellent yesterday. Always could defend, but his distribution and attacking threat down the right was always poor. At CB all he has to do is defend which he clearly loves.

I don't see why Darmian can't be kept on as a squad player, especially when he can play anywhere along the back line.

He's ok. But rojo is ok, Smalling is ok, Fellaini is ok. We have too many that are just ok. To get back to the top we need more than ok. In direct competition for his position he has Valencia who's been awful for 2 years and a 19 year old lad. Over at left back its Shaw who has injury issues and a 33 year old converted winger. And he hasn't been able to make either position his own.

I've no issues with darmian as squad cover. Hard worker, defensively okay, not a started but can more than do a job when needed.

Our club has been littered with darmians over the years. Nothing wrong with it at all.

We can't have 25 worldies. Some squad players are going to be, 'ok'. I think his versatility alone puts him ahead of the others that have been mentioned.
