The appointment of EtH has been the single best thing the club has done since Sir Alex retired.

I said at the time that I preferred EtH to Pochettino when it seemed like a straight race between the two of them. His star seemed to be in the ascendancy rather than trailing off.

Yesterday over 90 minutes I felt we were the better team. Kept City at arms length, they had few chances of note. While in truth we could have scored more with the chances we had. We should definitely had been leading at halftime.

The biggest turn around for me is in the players mentality. 100% with players like Casemiro, Eriksen and Martinez coming in we have a more talented group of players. Yet there are still so many players here from last season.

Last season these players looked mentally weak, they folded the moment anything went against them. Yet under EtH they look like absolute beasts mentally. They go a goal down and they just dig in and take things up a gear. They fight back and show their teeth.

The improvement in players like DDG, Dalot, Shaw, Fred, Bruno and Rashford has been fantastic to see.

The way EtH handles the players is just on another level to anything we have seen since Sir Alex.

Garnacho was late to team meetings in the summer, EtH dealt with it and has coached a wonderfully talented young player into someone who is becoming a key player for the first team.

Rashford was late, and EtH's handling of the situation was perfect.

Sancho has had issues and I'm confident that EtH will do the right things to help him.

Just a manager who understands the players and how to get the best out of them.

We are in a title race now, unfortunately I think with my sensible head on it is probably a race that we aren't yet ready to win. I think we need a little more depth to really be able to keep up the pace across four competitions right to the end of the season. But I love that EtH isn't throwing the towel in on any competition or focusing on particular competitions just all out for everything. It's a winners mentality and it's bleeding into the players.

We are back under EtH and we will win things with him.

Players like Rashford and Varane etc are all benefiting from a proper midfield. Casemiro offers protection we haven't seen since Carrick in his pomp and that gives the defence room to breathe and not be on the turn all the time.
Erikson gives you a passing ability that can get our attackers the ball in better positions and with better passes. Having a ball pinged at you by Casemiro and Erikson is entirely different then a toe punt towards you from Maguire and McFred.
ETH is the boss. There's no doubt about it. He dealt with the biggest player in the world and sent a message to the rest of the squad. He dropped Martinez yesterday for Shaw because both him and Maguire underperformed against Charlton. He has standards. You don't meet them, you don't play. We've needed that for last 3 seasons.
I think Weghorst will prove to be a shrewd signing. He's got to offer more than Martial as a 9. We can't hit Martial and expect him to hold a ball up and get us up the pitch. Wouldn't surprise me to see Bruno go on a hot streak running in behind him as Weghorst holds it up and spreads it to our wide men.
We have a style. We actually have patterns of play for the first time in years. Our players are being coached. If Sancho has sorted his head out, he can be like a new signing. If not, get rid in summer and reinvest. We need a younger midfielder because even though Casemiro and Erikson still got time at the top, we need to be looking to the future sooner rather than later. If he can get De Jong in and rotate Bruno and Erikson, we will be laughing.

Shappy - Consistency and fairness, the team comes first, the players know where they stand with EtH.

Garnacho, Ronaldo, Rashford they’ve all been dealt with fairly and consistently.

Good performances are rewarded with a place in the team. There are no favourites. Looking back it seems absolutely incredible that Casemiro was forced to wait for his place in the starting 11 but at the time Mctominay and Eriksen were playing well.

His use of Fred has been fantastic. He’s fast becoming a very important option for the big games where his skillset can be much better utilised not too dissimilar to how SAF sometimes deployed Park and Fletcher.

I still think injury to a few key players could completely derail the season but let’s just enjoy the ride for now.

As always recruitment will determine just how successful EtH can become but if he’s properly backed he’s certainly capable of bringing the top honours back to Old Trafford.

I was one of those who thought Poch was the wrong choice. A likable guy but one with a patchy record who has never made the best of the assets at his disposal, never won anything he would not have been expected to win. United needed a disciplinarian and in ETH that's exactly what they got. It's the first major decision the board have got right since before SAF retired. Well perhaps not quite. Getting Woodward to retire was the first one. His malign influence meant that even potentially decent decisions ended up falling apart on his incoherent and ignorant overall strategy. The £1Bn wasted was all down to him, and that's the debt that, barring a capital restructuring, is possibly going to limit us relative to flusher clubs in the future.

Who would have thought after the first two games of the season we would be 3rd, one point behind City? There were a few of you on here who were rooting for him before Rangnick - so well done. ETH is the fastest United manger to 20 wins ever. Enough said.
