So, Phil Jones has been released after playing just 16 games in 4 years, in half of which he was substituted. Let's say the equivalent of 3 full games a season, or £1.3m per 90 minutes. I'm going to guess that handily beats both Martial and Ronaldo's pay per minute played rate. He's going to leave United holding the quadrennial world record for the highest pay per minute played.

I went to the wolves game at home. his last game i think. He was THE BEST player that game. gace it all. for the shirt and badge. Cr7 was awful and mardy.

Not questioning his attitude. I'm sure he would have loved to have been able to play regularly. I just don't think it was good business to renew his contract for 4 years.

All clubs make bad player decisions, just look at RM signing Hazard for €100m and then paying him a reported €400k a week. In return they got 7 goals, €25m a goal, now that is a bad return on your investment.
