Ed02 - we look set to appoint Christopher Vivell as Director of Recruitment - do you think he'd be a good appointment?

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure it is as simple as that. He is a good guy and great at his job. There was a significant issue at Chelsea which let to his early departure.}

It's seems odd to have someone say if a deal is fair value if you're going to block deals anyway.

Or is the fear more in the line of tapping up? As in others teams wouldn't get the same opportunity to talk to and convince the player a connected team would?

It would seem the appointment of Vivell is initially a short term one, to help with this summers transfer window.

He also has expertise working within the multi club model, from Red Bull, and this may well be something that Ineos will be looking for going forward. Time will tell.

He certainly signed, and sold, some very good players at Leipzig so hopefully this could be another piece of an overall structure of management focussed on the football side of the club. This is what we have all been wanting for a long time.

Don't know if all of these appointments are 'best of class' as SJR said he wants but I do know they are infinitely better than Woodward and the Glazers.

I refuse to be anything other than hugely optimistic going forward.
