It’s a joke DLIB.

Everyone knows that United were crap last season.
Everyone knows that Amorim needs to bring new players in.

But the club still thinks it can negotiate a bargain. Mbeumo is a classic example. Player wants to come. His club has set a price, and United have been haggling for over a month. We all know how it’s going to end, United will raise their offer, and get him. Only, Amorim won’t have had a preseason to integrate him.

Plus, it feels like the club is completely incapable of working on more than one signing at the same time.

Yes, money is an issue, but it often feels like the club get completely bogged down on transfer negotiations, and the manager is playing catch-up trying to integrate players once the season starts.

We’re not Real Madrid, we’ve got a poor side and the whole world knows it, so until we get a better team when we are able to walk away from deals more easily and negotiate from a position of strength we should accept our current status.

We made a couple of bids for Branthwaite last season and moved onto to different options quite quickly and it appeared things were about to change but then we negotiated for weeks on Ugarte and paid £60m for a player then didn’t even want and arrived late after the season had already started, same with De Ligt and Mazrauroi and this Mbeumo deal is fast becoming the new saga as everyone knows Amorim needs him for pre season, to make things worse there is no obvious pivot option, we’ve been negotiating for weeks and we’ve been sleeping on other positions.

This summer was supposed to be a signal of intent, get players in quickly for a new manager that desperately needs them for in preseason! If Mbeumo doesn’t make the tour I think we all know the pressure on Amorim will be unbelievable. I don’t even think Mbeumo was enough, we needed a new CF and GK on tour as well. That was the minimum requirement in my opinion. The Club have known the extremely difficult start to the season for a couple of weeks now yet still no urgency.

You don’t need a crystal ball to foresee Amorim in real trouble come the Autumn and then what?

To make matters even worse City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have all significantly strengthened meaning we’re even further behind and we’re supposed to be catching up.

These people have no idea how to run a football Club. Their indecision, lack of planning and arrogance will end up costing themselves even more money. Their plan of cost cutting in flawed, because as we cut other teams are getting stronger.

Ineos should never have partnered with up with the Glazers and it’s not becoming obvious they don’t have a plan and whilst they sack all their staff and wait for the financials to improve other teams are just getting stronger. The Club needed a massive injection of cash not savage cuts and it’s more likely we’ll fall further behind rather than catch up over the coming years plus we still have absolutely no idea how they will fund a new stadium. I thought it was impossible to get worse owners than the Glazers but Ineos are almost as bad and together they are a disaster.

United need better players to improve the team and move us forward, to do that the squad needs investment however we lack the funds to do so. Why? Because we’ve been poor the last few seasons and have made bad transfer decisions therefore we are in a financial black hole. Not sure how the club gets out of the mess the glazers have put us in. One things for sure if we don’t get better players then our performances won’t get better and thus our income won’t increase. Catch 22!

Get the feeling the club thinks ruben was a mistake and they're doing their best to screw him over. poor start with few signings and bad apples still at the club means only one outcome come November. rinse and repeat. God I hate the glazers and what they've done.

Dlib, we are nowhere near competing with city, Arsenal, Liverpool or even Chelsea, so they hardly matter what they done…

Utter codswallop saying the club not backing RA so they can sack him, where is peoples sense!
