Doesnt suit what Amorim wants in midfield at all and that's before you consider his partner would be Bruno.

Lacks the athleticism and defensive reading of the gane. Amorims CM pairing have to be athletic enough to cover the wide positions as well as join the press whilst also covering the Middle of the pitch with the back 3. The ideal player for Amorim is a player that out of possession is just abl to read the game and understand exactly where he neefs to be to disrupt an opposition attack

Conversely they tend not to be expansive passers, recycling and retaining possession to the WB a lot whilst rarely carrying or going long, even Hjulmand didn't do a lot of this under Amorim but if you did want someone to do this you already have Bruno there who is also weaker in exactly the same areas. Hjulmand defensively reads the game very very well

In effect i don't see how Luis can be anything other than a Bruno understudy and given no Europe and Bruno rarely being injured.
