Any light on the year extention of Lingard? Seems pointless I'm sure I seen on here that you can't use the year extension to profit on a player.

Hi Ed, could you explain the profiteering a bit?
Is profiteering any sum the player is sold for, or does the sum he was bought for has some influence?
For example, if player was bought for 20mil and sold for 21mil, would that 1mil be considered as profiteering or the whole 21mil?

Ed with jesse n pogba being in similar situations with there contracts if united used either of them in player swap deals would they then have to compensate them for leaving the club. Would it also fall into profiteering?

Looks like a lot of outgoings, the club need a plan.
