Welbeck left having been told by LvG that he will be 5th choice behind Van Persie, Falcao, Rooney & Wilson.

What makes me laugh is the Arsenal fans on Twitter who are wearing their red tinted specs, saying stuff like:

"Is it me or does Welbeck look a changed player"

No lad, you think he's better now because he's an Arsenal player now, it's called red tinted specs.

The way Welbeck has suddenly become world class cracks me up, he's a huge loss to us, a massive gain for arsenal and he should replace Rooney for England. Up until he left United he was rubbish!

I like the lad and wish him well, I would even have kept him but only as a squad player (which he didn't want). The change around by fans and media has amused me no end.

Haha exactly mate! I really can't figure out how the perception of United players suddenly goes from "average, over-rated" to "great" after they leave us and join other teams. Suddenly, Hernandez is so good that Benzema's place is threatened. LOL
And, Welbeck is their next Henry.
Nani's penalty miss in his first game for Lisbon makes no story.
Cleverley is going to be back to his brilliant best (I wish that he does) after leaving us.
They substitute their jealousy with hatred and they ignore it as if they don't know about it.

Ah right, you think I meant another world-class CM as well as Herrera? I just meant a world-class midfielder like Vidal to play alongside Herrera. I wouldn't describe Herrera as world-class, but he's a very good player and will most certainly become in the bracket of "world-class".

Ynwareet have you seen the Liverpool page today, full of comparisons with united a lot saying that lallana is better than di maria and that Sturridge is on par with falcao. And balotelli is as good as Rooney and van Persie. Everyone rates there own teams players more than they should but some of them are ridiculous. Having said that majority of united fans probably underrated welbeck based on the fact he can't hit a barn door and even with giroud out I wouldn't pick him in an arsenal XI but wish him well.

Ctr, indeed the page is good at the moment. I feel it in the air also that the lfc rivalry has suddenly ramped up a bit. Should be an exciting season.

Stoner, long time. what do you make of Danny welbeck signing? I think he will do well and fit in too but I don't think he is the answer to your problems. You need someone comfortably better than giroud to make that next step imo, not just an ok fill in.
