Darmians pass accuracy is similar to that of clyne and coleman, I did a comparison further down the page, it's obvious he won't have a pass accuracy as high as Valencia as all Valencia does is pass it backwards and sideways.

Worth remembering that Darmian achieved these stats within the Torino team, Valencia's was obviously within the United team surrounded by better players, winning more games etc etc. your only as good as the team you play in, I'm sure Ronald's stats would take a hit if he played for Burnley.

That said thanks for your efforts jred it's a good bases for discussion and a good starting point, well imo.

For such comparisons to be of real use you need to factor in what united did in all those games v torino did. For instance, united had shed loads of possession so you'd expect Valencia's number of passes to be far higher.

Valencia can't cross is scared to beat a man and gets caught out of position a lot

Darmian is a massive upgrade for me

valencia played 120 with a succes ratio of 19.2 %

{Ed030's Note - I wouldn't worry to much about stats, It may just be Torino's attackers are not as good at heading as the Man Utd attackers are or Utd may have more players in the box to attack the crosses than Torino, stats can be very misleading. }
