If people want further evidence that the future looks brighter then half of the 8 nominees for Young player of the year with Henderson, Martial, Rashford and Greenwood all nominated.

Ultimately I would be stunned if Trent Alexander-Arnold didn't win it again. But the fact that we have so many players nominated is a positive for our future.

TAA is much better than all other nominees. Also how are Martial and Grealish still eligible at the age of 24. I think 21 should be the age limit.

I really rate TAA, I think he might be better long term as a midfield. Apparently he played in midfield at youth level. I can see him as a dynamic box to box player, creating goals and offering thrust to midfield.

I can see why Klopp plays him at RB as his crossing is top class, but I think he could offer more in the middle.

I know ed7. I am saying that in my view 23 at the start of the season is a bit too old. 21 at the start of the season might be better imo.

No disputing that TAA is a class player, but surely Greenwood has a chance. What he's done this season has been fantastic for a kid his age, especially considering how the team struggled going forward before Bruno signed.

Greenwood has had a stunning breakout season and in most years would be a strong contender for the Young player of the year title.

However, I would argue that TAA is the outstanding candidate for the UEFA Young player of the year award and not just the EPL.

He is the leading creator in a side that blew away all other sides in the supposed toughest league in the world. He holds his own alongside Allison, VvD, Mane and Salah all players considered "World class".

For those reasons I can see anyone other than TAA winning it.
