I am ready to happily accept yesterday's performance and defeat and not blame Ole at all if the Ole apologists or anyone for that matter explain the Martial substitution to me.

If Martial doesn't come on, Lingard stays forward and Fred doesn't make that back pass and we come away with a draw.

The martial sub was baffling.
If he wanted to bring on martial it should have been for another forward. Lingard is not a CM.

The manager is at fault for making those idiotic substitutions which didn't effect any positive change in the game. And his excuse for making the substitutions was even more idiotic. If Ole has truly been a manager for 10 years then that inexperience and learning on the job excuse needs to be thrown out the door. He doesn't have what it takes. Being a good man manager (which is bogus in my opinion) and bringing a feel good atmosphere and positivity back in the dressing room and club (anybody could have achieved that, so nothing special here) doesn't win you football matches. You can dress up a turd all you want to make it look pleasing. At the end of the day it's still a turd.
