Does anyone know anything about Rooneys coaching style behind the scenes,

His derby team play good football at times but I'm just wondering does he have a set philosophy.

I'd like to see him move to the Premiership with a team and see how he gets on then.

Forgot the name of the guy but last week Rooney said he has an excellent coach alongside him who knows more than he does so he often takes a back seat - but he is learning on the job.

Down the Pub, pop in the massage parlour and have a kebab that’s behind the scenes.

je suis - whatever it is its working!
On a serious note, don't think he's ready just yet, but give the guy some deserved credit, he made a statement against being considered for the everton role, class and none can deny that at derby he and his team are doing marvellous with the constraints put on them.

I don't think you can really take much about Rooney's management style from the job he is doing at Derby.

With such a small squad, and a heavy reliance on young players, how the team can and does play changes on a weekly basis.

He is being forced to be fairly pragmatic because he has no other choices.

Fair play to him, he's doing an absolutely amazing job and to be honest I doubt many other managers given the circumstances could do much better. I do wonder whether his lack of experience is actually helping him as he has nothing to judge his current plight against. Other more experienced managers might have given up or threw their toys out the pram given the restraints he is working under.

Either way I don't see how he loses there now. He'll either be the hero who pulled off a miracle, or he'll be the brave warrior who went down battling ridiculous odds.

I think we'll really learn about who Rooney the manager is when he take his next job and he has more freedom to express his coaching ideas.

How he manages to do the job he's doing at Derby while seemingly constantly having something to say about United really amazes me.
